LILY’S POV After what had just happened, I was shaking, my legs were weak, and I was wet. I felt bad that I had let it get this far again. The game—his game—had started again. I will turn off your phone. If your boyfriend finds you in five minutes, then I will let you go,” he offered. I was not foolish enough to agree easily. “What if he doesn’t?” I asked.

"This is the charm you gave me when I woke up in the hospital after nearly dying. You said you wanted me to be safe for the rest of my life, you remember?" I did. This was the protective charm I prayed for, after the ninety-ninth time sleeping with him, praying for his safety and happiness. I looked at him coldly. "What's the use of all this talk? It's too late. I've fallen out of love with you. "Did you hear that? I don't love you anymore. Get that in your head." Shane froze as tears welled up in his eyes, and he sounded like he was on the verge of crying. "I don't believe you! You must be lying to me!"

I don’t think it’s just like that; at this point, I think he hates me for real. So many things are happening; I’m just very excited about how it’s going to go because I am the one playing the game right now. I’ve been played so many times when I thought things were going to work out between the person that I love and me, but unfortunately things never worked out the way I’ve always wanted, so it’s just time for me to play a perfect game and get exactly what I want.
