"I'm begging you… Please save my daughter…" The surrounding chatter ceased abruptly as every eye fixed on the absurd scene. Meghan didn't even blink as she casually dialed Matthew's number. The moment the call connected, her voice carried a hint of feigned hurt. "Matt, please come save Taylor. Ms. Bradford hates me so much that she's trying to take the blood reserved for him. She's trying to kill us!" Danielle broke free from the guards and screamed into the phone. "Matthew, Olivia is bleeding! She has a coagulation disorder and needs a transfusion now! Tell the hospital to give us some blood, or she'll die!"

Every sound made my heart jump. “What if we get caught?” I whispered. “I hope we don’t… I could get into serious trouble.” Paige said. I could hear the tension in her voice. We reached the back entrance. I could see one guard standing at a distance. My chest tightened. “Just walk,” Paige murmured. “Don’t look at him.” I nodded. The guard glanced in our direction. For a second, I was sure he would stop us. My heart pounded so loudly I was sure he could hear it but then he looked away and just like that, we were outside.

Taking the bottle from his hand, Vanessa took a sip. Looking at Megan and Bryan, Justin smiled, "They look happy together, don't they?" "They do," she smiled. "Well, I have never seen Bryan so happy and crazy over a girl in twenty-nine years of our existence." "Megan seems to like him alot too." Turning towards her, Justin asked, "What about you?" "What about me?" She asked. Pausing for a while, he answered, "You seem to have a lot of things hidden in your heart and eyes." When she raised her brows, he added, "Did I not tell you that I can read a beautiful woman's eyes?"

It had tried to write a story about gods. And forgot that gods choose who they love. The Heart shattered. Not into silence. Into possibility.

His voice trailed off as he talked about yesterday like nothing interesting happened. “I thought you wanted to check out all the trees at their different locations first?” He inquired with an unsure tone as looked for my hands with his eyes still on Asher and he squeezed them nicely, rubbing against them gently. “Yes I wanted to but I found the heart which usually takes weeks or months to locate. I know you wouldn’t understand but the heart is a deal breaker.” He explained as he looked thrilled talking about it. At that instant our eyes met as I looked up to notice his visage after hearing the excitement in his voice.

The Heart's essence, in spite of the fact of it being weakened, was still glowing, a flicker of hope within the repercussions of devastation. Clara’s heart leaped with renewed determination. The Heart was not truly gone, it had chosen to remain with them, to guide them in their journey. With renewed resolve, Clara turned back to her friends, a smile playing at the corners of her lips. “The Heart’s still with us. We can still make a difference.” Their journey was far from over, but Clara knew they were ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, their hearts united by the power of hope and the promise of a brighter future.

I was just about to enter the bedroom when I suddenly saw what was going on inside. I instantly felt a sharp pain in the left side of my chest. Ivan was hugging Ariana intimately in bed. "Didn't you say that you didn't love me anymore? Then, why are you still interested in me?" Ariana didn't reply to him at once. Her eyes just turned redder as she kept kissing him all over. "Hold up. If you want to get back together with me, then you're going to have to break up with that man first," Ivan said, stopping her just as they were getting to the good part.

After the two friends hugged and then Ava went out of the garden on her way to the seamstresses’ quarters, Kiara remained on the bench and pondered on Ava’s advice. Give your heart what it wants? Nonsense, that’s the most ridiculous statement she’s ever heard, not even worthy to be called an advice. How can her heart know what it wants? Or what it needs? Or what is good for it? Her heart is like a child who hates bitter medicine, the medicine is good for the child but the child hates it because the medicine is bitter. In her case, her heart is the child, and the bitter medicine, well, is loneliness of course.
