Adriel murmured. Before I could turn completely, a cold, heavy hand gripped my shoulder, spinning me around. Mitchell’s face was inches from mine. A sudden, hot weight punched directly into my chest. I looked down. The silver hilt of a hunting knife protruded from my sternum, driven straight through my ribs into my heart. "It is over," Mitchell whispered. My knees buckled. As I fell toward the ash-covered ground, I saw Adriel step forward, his own blade flashing in the crimson light as he drove it into Mitchell's throat before turning it on himself.

His face was directly hovering over me, his breath smelt worse than I expected it to. I quickly flipped out my knife while he was still muttering, I popped my eyes open like I was possessed, taking him by surprise but before he could react, I plunged the knife into his abdomen and twisted hard. He opened his mouth to scream but I covered it with my other hand, I pulled out the knife and stabbed him in the chest, specifically in the heart. He shook violently like a bird that had been poured hot water and then stilled, I watched as the light left his eyes. I removed my knife, pushed him off me with difficulty, and scrambled away from his body as fast as I could with my repressed motility.

I leaned my full body weight down on the pillow, crushing his face into the mattress. He made a wet, muffled screaming sound under the heavy leather. His legs kicked violently under the blankets. I lifted my right hand with the knife. I brought the blade down hard into his chest. The sharp iron sliced straight through his thin nightshirt. It cut through his skin and cracked through his ribs. The knife sank deep into his heart. Vane let out a horrible, wet gasp under the pillow. Warm red blood spurted out from his chest, soaking through my sleeves and splashing across my face.

Beck groans from five feet away. A stream of blood trails down my neck caused by King's knife. Without a sound or giving away the intention of my next move, my hand comes up shockingly fast, and I push my fingers between the blade and my throat. Sacrificing those digits, I roll again while pushing the blade away and strike with the knife still held in my good hand. A sharp cry from King, the big baby, is music to my ears. Using my foot, I kick away his knife after he drops it because my fingers and claws are hanging by a thread from my hand. I back up to keep both men in my sights. Kill, whispers Ms. Beast.

His blood sprayed on my face a few times, but I didn’t feel a thing. The only sounds in the room were Hudson’s screams as I carefully carved his chest open. I was taking my time, but when I got tired of waiting, I shoved the knife in deeper, still avoiding any vital organs. I wanted him alive—for now. Eventually, I cut open his chest enough to see his heart still beating. Hudson could barely make a sound anymore. He was just whimpering. I let go of the knife and pushed my hand into the open wound. I could feel his heart pulsing in my palm.

my partner cut in. “No rush. It’s 3742. Good luck, Holmes and Watson.” “We don’t need your good luck, poop,” she spat and ended the call. She entered the passcode and we opened the gallery. As usual, there were two images. One is an image of a knife stabbed to the ground beside a short, fat tree and the other is an AMU student entering a café. Wait… I snatched the phone from her hand and zoomed in on the knife. Oh, hell. “It’s an obsidian knife, the sharpest knife in the world.”

After all I was the only element of surprise that we had. I made sure I had a firm grip on my knife, and moved as swiftly as possible toward him. My heart thrummed loudly as I walked over to him. I took a breath and held my arm back to get as much force as possible. My hand moved closer. I was about to pierce his heart.

Brave I perceived a knife stabbed unswerving into my chest. The pointed tip of the knife landed through the skin of my heart. I am certain that very moment my heart does not wish to continue. Damn, my heart breaks. Oh man it is very painful. My heart is pounding very weak. It feels like my heart admits defeat and does not want to fight anymore. I couldn’t stop crying.

Kit’s POV His eyes widened as he stared directly into my eyes, before they moved down to the knife now hanging out of his chest, as I let go of the handle of the knife, taking a step or two back from him, in fear this wasn’t over. But blood began to gush from the wound, telling me that it had hit its mark, and as I listened to the sound of his heart beating, I could hear it begin to slow.

I pinned him to the ground my hand strangling his neck. "I can see you are not as strong as you used to be", I smiled my hot breath on his face "At least those imbeciles did something, even if they didn't get the job done". He struggled but I held firm. I reached for the poisonous knife sheath at my belt, the knife was laced with wolf bane. I stabbed him in his chest at the point of his heart, he growled out in pain as I drove the knife deeper into his heart.
