I was just a kid with a small party of friends. Wishing to end this crisis soon, all I could do was pray. The seven suns were about to rise, and we arrived at our destination. “Here we are,” Mary exclaimed. “Black Tortoise Gate.” “I don’t see any pictures of tortoises anywhere,” Li commented. Despite its name, we didn’t find anything resembling a tortoise. Just like the Azure Dragon Gate, there were no images of dragons in sight.

He started shaking his head pretty quickly, like he was thumbing through books in his mind, not finding what he wanted, and moved to the next one. "No, nothing. While there are some books that mention the Gateway and the God Realms, there's been no human account of them. Does the magic itself feel broken?" he asked. I nodded, not even bothering to consult with Kiema on that one. "Junior's fur feels like it's being rubbed the wrong way."

He stands still for a moment, before looking at the books that surrounded him. He notices a book that is not much bigger than his hand. The cover is simple, with nothing but the illustration of red circles within a circle at the bottom half, and the name “Dante” written on the top half. He picks it up and inspects it, trying to read other words on the back of the book. He was able to process some of the words, but could not understand the whole paragraph.
