Then he scooped the ashes into a cup of water and stirred. "Drink this," he said, his voice low but steady. "It's a cleansing potion. No spell, curse, or hex will cling to you once it's in your blood." The moment it slid down my throat, the necklace around my neck loosened with a sharp snap. I gasped and pulled it off easily.

Rosalie glanced maliciously at me, pointed at my bracelet and cursed, "Selina, how did you sneak in? You came here to cause trouble, right? How... How dare you wear this bracelet?!" Her voice was so loud that it attracted everyone's attention instantly. "Is this woman's bracelet the Eternal Sincerity that Mr. Grey spent a fortune on to win for his wife? Today is the first time that Mr. Grey will appear with his wife. Is she trying to embarrass Mrs. Grey?"

He doesn’t show it to me, flipping through it himself. When he turns to show it to me, the book is named Gluttony. “I knew I’ve heard that name before. Revel is a Sin; Gluttony to be exact. A black book was seen flying into the sky while trapped in the pillar. “The Glinting Tome!” The trio spread in the area soared into the air as soon as they saw this book. Tyr appeared at the crucial moment with his body surrounded by the golden runes. He turned into a stream of light as he rushed up to the tome.

In a heartbeat, all the color drained from her face. I looked up and sized her up. In just a month, the woman who used to be so high and mighty—polished down to her last strand of hair—now looked haggard with bloodshot eyes. Her haute couture suit hung loosely on her frame, making her look like a child who had stolen an adult's clothes. Her pride and commanding presence had vanished without a trace. All that remained was desperation. Her lips trembled, and it took her a while to find her voice. "Kieran…"
