“You shall be the father of these people. Be the guardian they all deserve, guide them away from pain, death, and suffering. Morgan Muller, you were given that name to be the alpha of this pack. To continue the legacy your family had been making.” This kind of blessing ceremony had never existed before. Everything was new since no one ever thought of having the moon goddess go down their realm and bless the alpha herself. No one knew what would happen next that’s why everyone was attentively watching the whole ceremony. “Morgan Muller, with the power of light, of love, and of the moon. The goddess of the moon blesses and announces you as the rightful heir of this title.” A streak of bright l

So safe and so friendly. Dr. Kole? Sky blinks his eyes twice, thrice, again and again, but he is seeing the same person. Dr. Kole is the exact replica of Kai. What is this again? Is heaven so angry with him that they twist his fate and made the person he first asks for help looks the same as his husband? Is his suffering not enough? Are five years not enough for gods to pity him? to at least let him have just a little glimmer of hope?

He approached both warriors and used magic to mark a little praying-for-blessings sign on the back of each man's right hand. The crowd remained silent throughout the process. I could feel some glances directed at me. Leaving a praying-for-blessings sign on the back of a warrior's right hand was how Alphas showed their appreciation for their right-hand Betas. Understandably, my father's actions indicated that he had high expectations for this battle, with the victor likely becoming the right-hand Beta of the next Alpha. Lost in thought, I was startled as a hand was placed on my shoulder. "What are you thinking about? You look so cranky," Lux, the owner of the hand, sat down next to me.

My heartbeat quickened as I recalled everything that had happened there. Asher placed his hand on my shoulder, studying me intently as though waiting for me to realize something important. “Dead or alive, a dragon’s blessing can always help,” he said. “But no dragon has ever blessed a demon. Not just demons, it takes celestials centuries, sometimes lifetimes, to receive a dragon’s blessing. The dragons have only ever blessed a select few, and they’re all in paradise.” Asher smiled, a soft laugh escaping him as he lowered his head.

“Good to see you, Azlynn. Xavion informed me that you would come today. Let’s start the prayer now!” Xavion and prayer were two drastically different things, I was used to dragging him to the temple every time in the past. So, gawking at this whole bizarre scene, I lowered my head and sought blessings from the Goddess, joining the prayer ceremony. The old priest blessed us kindly. “Today is a big day for Alpha Xavion Waller. Like every year, I bless you on the behalf of my Goddess. She will ensure your success in every field of your life.”

, Abraham warned her, and she nodded in affirmation. Mariah made her tea which she managed to gulp down and lay back down. Rissa touched Mariah's shoulder in appreciation “Thank you, Mariah”, and Mariah squeezed her hand lovingly. She also turned to Abraham whose head was bowed slightly "Thank you Abraham" she managed to whisper " Call me father”, he said instantly, making Rissa's eyes widen in shock.

However, Joseph had his head lowered and remained mute. The female officer stepped into the house. "Ms. Bass, can you please show us your acceptance letter?" Madison was visibly flustered. "You don't have the right to look at my acceptance letter." The officer smiled before she produced a warrant, which shocked Madison to the point of tears. "D-Dad, what should I do?" she stammered. Frank closed his eyes. Joseph was bewildered when he heard Madison call Frank "Dad". "What did you just call him?" he demanded.

"Your hands are a gift from the heavens!" And so, he started his daily ritual of praising me in a new way every day, his accent heavy but his eyes always sincere. I set down my tweezers, picked up my croissant and took a bite, the flaky pastry crumbling without much effort. "Thank you, Steven. You've become much better at praising me than yesterday!" His azure eyes lit up and he nodded enthusiastically, not realizing that I was teasing him. From under his arm, he pulled out the newest edition of an international business magazine. Flipping to a specific page, he offered it to me, visibly excited.

Then he would snatch the whip from his guard and lash Sorin's already flayed flesh. He clenched his fist tight, breathed in deeply, and released a misty breath into the chilled air. As the fog from his breath dissipated, so did his tension. He needed to keep a cool head. He couldn't be getting lost in his spiral of self pity when he had so much to be doing. Despite the face of this trip being a waste- there was no real reason for them to be here ‘strengthening ties between the Earth and Heavens pack’, everyone knew the Earth alpha was comfy inside their uncle’s pocket- he and his brothers had their own unique agenda for this trip.
