This is just writer’s block, right? I mean, surely there was something about last night’s date with Gabe that went terribly. There must be something for me to write about... I sat in my office chair, staring at the blank screen of the word processing program in front of me. I had been gazing at it for half an hour, trying to brainstorm what to write for the upcoming blog post. The problem, though, was that I ran a website that people visited to hear about my bad dates, not the good ones. There wasn’t anything interesting about a good date, or at least anything that my current readers would want to hear. They wanted the ridiculous details. Writer's block came at the worst possible time. Example, right now I wanted to prove to Michele and that muppet that called himself Alessio that I was capable of staying on my own. I had slapped and knocked myself, had pressed the backspace key a thousand times, and had grunted all I could. Yet, all I could show off was a paragraph. Before you sit down to write, think of ideas, remind yourself of where you left off in the story, or make a mental plan for what you want to accomplish during that session. Some people strive to write 2,000 words a day. Others disregard word count and are more comfortable alternating between days spent reading, outlining, or researching. Your comments and feedback would be such a huge motivation for me. That said, I've hit a bit of a creative block recently. I know it's been a few days since the last update, and I wanted to be transparent with you all about what's going on. Writing can sometimes be a bit of a rollercoaster, and right now, I'm in one of those tricky spots where the words just aren't flowing as easily as I'd like them to. I'm taking some time to step back, recharge, and gather new inspiration so I can come back stronger and with fresh ideas. Hi Dear Reader 👋🏽 You've probably noticed that I've been struggling to keep a steady updating schedule these last few weeks. My older readers may be aware but I have a busy schedule. I'm a student, and I also juggle a full time job in addition to writing and while I love writing it's becoming increasingly difficult to keep up with my schedule. I either disappoint my readers or myself and that's something I don't want to do. Plus I've been suffering from a severe writers block. I feel like everything I write is trash and I'm not sure if my new chapters align with the story I originally intended to tell.
