The message sits there anyway. “Do not believe everything people say for the cameras.” Julian reads it once. Then again. Heat moves through him, part anger, part want, part something more dangerous than either. Adrian knows. That is the problem. He knows what the answer sounded like. He knows what it did. And still, he said it. Julian picks up the phone. His thumb moves before he can soften the words.

Doctor Macabre hissed before Lord Egan started dragging him out of the room and Adrian tried to extinguish the fire before my room would burn completely. A feral angry growl left Henry’s chest as his eyes zeroed at the doctor, “I would tell you to stay the f*ck away from my mate, but you won’t have a chance to come close to her ever again, you will die!” His eyes were glowing and I knew that Knight was on the surface, saying those words with Henry. “Go to hell, Doc!” I told him before turning to look at my Henry once again and forget that this horrible doctor had ever existed in my life. I would leave him, these memories and this fear behind, let it burn in the flames of his demise.

With every touch of Henry's skin, it felt as if electricity was flowing through my veins—a confusing sensation that mixed with my fear. Why, despite this man's evil personality, was my body seemingly drifting along? Why did I seem to like the danger Henry brought?

It's kind of funny seeing a guy as confident and powerful and dangerous-looking stuttering like a 5 year old, but the situation is stopling me from laughing. He sits there and he doesn't say, or do anything, just sits there for a few long moments; I'm not even sure if he's breathing. And then, all of a sudden, he stands up, pushing the chair bacwards so hard that it falls over, and covers his face with his palms. The doctor said as he himself was scared of her at this point and she nodded indicating a yes. The doctor was already doubtful that they were not normal people as her injuries were really severe and it was mostly gunshots but he didn’t think much of it as they showed their ids but now he was sure that they were dangerous people and he just wanted them to get out as soon as possible. "Okay, then I'll get the discharge papers ready." The doctor said and left the room. And the room was filled with silence again.
