No matter what, she swore not to end up like that anymore. With that thought, Sage got out of bed. She freshened up before leaving the house and heading to City Hall. It wasn't 9:00 am yet, so City Hall had yet to open. Ian had yet to arrive, too. There were several young couples waiting outside, excited to get married. Sage couldn't help thinking about how she and Ian had been in the past as she took in the happy, blissful looks on the couples' faces. At the time, she'd been so excited that she'd arrived early in the morning to wait in line. She'd had to wait until noon for Ian to arrive, though.

The deal: after ninety-nine rejections, she'd show up for the hundredth. Say yes. Instead, she'd gone to a concert with Pierre. "I... wait for me. I'll drive over." Click. End call. I canceled the ride. Not out of hope though. Snow started falling—hard and fast.

I roared at my second-in-command, who had followed me out. "Find her! I want you to tear this city apart until you find her!" Marco’s face was ashen. "Boss... her phone's last ping was two hours ago. Upon arriving, she noticed two people waiting at the door of her apartment. Looking closer, she noticed it was Daniel and Carmen. When Carmen saw her, she walked closed to her and said, "You are back Hilda. We have been waiting for you for a while now." Furrowing her eyebrow, she turned to leave but suddenly felt a grip on her hand.

I said casually. She was quiet for a moment before she finally replied. "Alright then," and then the call ended. After Dylan said that she was the culprit yesterday, I had come up with ideas on how to handle the matter. Once it was the agreed time, I drove to the location and waited outside for her. There was a floor-to-ceiling window beside me so I took in the view of the city beside me. It was absolutely beautiful. It had been over an hour but still no sign of Elizabeth but I still patiently waited for her until it clocked a few minutes past six before she finally arrived, looking all high and mighty.
