Aria’s POV We all gathered at the Academy’s garden, a sea of uniforms shifting as heirs filled the open space. The air was heavy with anticipation, but my mind still circled the lecturer’s refusal, the way he had looked almost afraid to answer me. Then a commotion broke out a few paces away. Curious murmurs rippled through the crowd, and when I turned, my breath caught. A girl. For a moment I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me, but no—standing in the middle of a ring of mocking Alphas was a female student. Her auburn hair caught the sunlight, her stance defiant even as laughter rang around her.

My revenge had worked — but standing there, bleeding, dragged by soldiers who'd once looked past me like I didn't exist, I understood it might also be the last mistake I ever made. *** "Impressive, Ophilia. I didn't know you had a crush on me." Jace's voice slid into my ear as he approached, cold as the whip coiled in his hand. "You hid it well. Looks like beneath all that hatred, something else was hiding there. Love, wasn't it?" Nausea rolled through me. I'd humiliated them enough for one lifetime — I wasn't giving them my voice too. I stayed silent as he and Chase stepped closer, the whip stretched taut between them, promising.

In the center–lazily flipping a lighter in his hand–was Lance Farcaster. The crown prince of one of the city's most elite families. And the number two top spender on our server. Beside him, lounging with one leg propped up on the coffee table, looking thoroughly annoyed, was a sharp-looking guy with a buzz cut– Matthew Crater. The campus king from the neighboring sports academy. And the number one archer in the entire server. The moment I stepped inside, Janet shot to her feet. She pointed straight at me, her voice shrill with outrage, like she suffered some unbearable injustice.

“We don’t get to choose fate.” He tilted her chin up. “Then we rewrite it.” Their lips met in a fierce kiss. It wasn’t soft. It was a promise. Of love. Of war. Of defiance. The next day, the traitor revealed themselves. During a training session, a young warrior named Fenric tried to slip poison into the healer’s brew. Aria, sensing the wrongness, caught him. He snarled. “You think your light can stop what’s coming? He’s already inside the mountain. You’re too late!”

Thad snarls angrily, seeing Piper, Zach, and Landon by Cyra whose knee is at an unnatural angle. “Release him,” Alpha Leo growls again. Thad faces off against the Alpha. They should have been paying closer attention. This shouldn’t have happened and if Cyra is too injured to stay at the Academy ... Before I can stop him, Thad rips the guy’s throat out. I quickly pull the shift and stand to face the Alpha. “Next time, do your fucking job,” I snarl. “Yorick, you are out of line,” he growls.

By the third day, the academy had split. Some students whispered I was reckless, dangerous, too wild to ever lead. They pointed at the bruises on Elias’s jaw, at the chains still healing around my wrists, at the fire, at Lena’s broken body. Others whispered differently. They whispered about the fire glowing on our skin, the bond pulsing in the chamber, the way I’d carried her through smoke and blood. “The goddess chose her.” “She’s his mate. No one can break it.” “She might actually be Luna.” The tension cracked through the academy like thunder. Fights broke out in dorm halls, wolves snarling at each other over whispers. Professors snapped at students, guards broke up scuffles.

It feels like I’ll lose an important part of me forever, but I know it’s where my freedom is held captive. And I need my freedom to move forward. No strings attached. Not to Logan. Not to the Evergreen Pack. Just me, Esme, my dad, and Dean. Back in Naila City, together, as a family. Looking after each other as family should. I begin the ritual. “Alpha Logan Greene of the Evergreen Pack–” “Don’t.” “We were brought together by the goddess, but our hearts belong not to each other.” “Hanna.” He growls. A warning. His hold on my chin tightens as if to prevent me from speaking further, but I press on.

POV: DALIAH "Let me go!" I scream, my voice filled with desperation and anger, directed at whoever has a tight grip on my shoulder. As I turn to face my captor, shock courses through my veins, for it is none other than Dylan, the son of the Alpha — my secret crush and the one I was destined to be with. "You will be punished for what you've done. Do you even comprehend who Eunice is?" His fingers constrict around my neck, cutting off my air supply, and my vision blurs. "She is My Luna."

I lower my hand and grip both her shoulders firmly, trapping her in place so she can’t run anymore. Then I lean closer until our noses brush together. I stare directly into the soul that’s been hiding behind the mask of a male Alpha this entire time. “No more lies. No more games. No more alchemy protecting you. Do you hear me?” My voice drops into a rough whisper filled with hurt, obsession, and desperate demand. Her scent is driving every instinct inside me completely feral. “I used my own body as a shield for you in the forest. I risked my title as Sword Bearer… and I just turned against the academy to drag you out of that arena.”

Ash stroked his hair and said, “I know. When I was at school, their was an Alpha who love me more than anything, but the idiot Alpha is mine become so stupid when it's come to me.” “And because he desperately wanted to protect you, beacuse he want you to fulfill your dream and make your late father proud,” Alex corrected. He hadn’t even known that Ash was such a great omega fighter back then. He’d been surprisingly good in fighting, when Alex saw him kicking Type and Earth all alone and and with proud smile on his face, Alex feel like he the one and no one like Ash.
