Vampire on Fire

Vampire on Fire

Ember’s POV Not all heroes wear a cape or a well-ironed uniform. Not every position should be praised and hailed as a champion. The true heroes of this country are those who fought for justice. Heroes that held their hearts tighter than their guns and bloody thirst for death. But there is little to no recognition for these heroes, just one day of grief then it’s back to cheers. I have seen men saluting for the death of the country’s soldiers, including my father.

The Real Heroine Logs In

The Real Heroine Logs In

She nodded again and again, taking the badge with both hands, her voice breaking. "Thank you, Eleanor. Thank you!" The comments exploded again–this time in gold. [Damn! That level of grace; insane!] [This is what a true female lead looks like–lifting someone out of the abyss instead of holding a grudge!] [Girls help girls! I'm calling it–this is the most hype esports story of the year!] [Orion team, let's go! Win the championship for Janet, too!]

The War Hero's Daughter

The War Hero's Daughter

"My daughter's biological father was a war hero!" "A war hero?" Miriam blocked our path. "You say he's a hero—who's going to believe that?" She stepped closer, almost right in our faces. "I'd advise you to drop this. Save your energy and start reconsidering your options. Some schools just aren't meant for certain people." Mom's hands were shaking with rage. "What business is it of yours? What we do is our own business!" Miriam let out a scoff and brushed past us. But as her bodyguards followed, one of them deliberately shoved Mom—hard. She tumbled down the wet steps, landing in a heap on the soaked pavement.

I Never Hated You

I Never Hated You

Themis was the embodiment of divine order, law, and custom, in her aspect as the personification of the divine rightness of law. One of the things that drew me to her was her depiction. The scale, the sword, and the blindfold. The mental injuries that Hakim had inflicted on me were still fresh at that time, and I was still very much angry with him. I still am, but not as angry as I was then. I wanted Justice to be served, I wanted him to suffer for what he did to me. I sometimes had dreams where I saw myself, clothed exactly like the Lady Justice, with a scale in one hand, and after measuring his deeds and finding out that the bad outweighed the good, I drove the sword through his heart, unf

My Wife, My Hero

My Wife, My Hero

"I never wanted to ruin your relationship with your wife, but I really don't have a choice now. Even if you refuse to admit it, it doesn't matter. You gave me presents before, and plenty of people saw it. I just want justice for myself." At those words, everyone's expressions shifted again. Victor clenched his fists as if he wanted to teach me a lesson right then and there. Even the students who believed me no longer sounded completely confident. Smugness appeared in Chloe's eyes, and she raised her eyebrows at me in challenge.

Alpha Victor

Alpha Victor

"Yeah, he's my real-life hero." Quade hummed and his playful grin morphed into something a little more sinister, "I'm not much of a fan of heroes. I've always told my girl, it's the villain that will burn down the world for you, damn the consequences." "That's a bit extreme." Quade shrugged, "Sometimes people need to feel an extreme kind of love." Victor glowered at Quade. This time he didn't ask for my hand, he took it and weaved our fingers together before baring his teeth as his friend.

I think for now, Victor’s book is my favourite. I love the simplicity of the situation that is quite complex but down to earth. I can’t wait to know what will happen with Sydney as well. I guess they’ll meet at some point. I’m happy Victor is putting himself and his needs first. Finally!

The storyline thus far have been outstanding, except for the fact that this book is INCOMPLETE with no UPDATE in sight. This author even had the time to advertised another UPCOMING series which has 2 COMPLETED books but the LAST and most needed damned book of this series isn't done, the nerve.

ECHOES OF THE PAST

ECHOES OF THE PAST

Evan interrupted, contempt returning. "Could have settled for mediocrity like everyone else? You don't understand, Aria. You never did. The world is divided between those who take and those who are taken from. I chose to be a taker. You chose to be a victim." "She chose to be a hero," Damian corrected, his voice carrying absolute conviction. "She chose justice over comfort, purpose over safety, protecting others over protecting herself. That's not victimhood, that's courage." Through our resonance, I felt his fierce protectiveness, his determination to defend not just my physical safety but the integrity of the choices I'd made.

Iridian

Iridian

Villains had no rules, they had no limits. It was far too easy to convince Jake to go outside with me, to watch the brave warriors of our pack fight for our freedom and lives. Closer and closer, we inched; until all that shielded us was the thick bushes around our neighbor’s house. One of the warriors in our pack had fallen, blood spurting from his neck in a sea of beautiful crimson. The life in his eyes went from blazing to a dull flicker. ‘Be a hero’, I told Jake. ‘Our parents will be so proud’, I said.

Such a well written book and the story really drags you in, I’ve enjoyed reading this so much and hope a sequel comes out. I really feel this book should be printed, I’d read it over and over again. The book is long but it’s well worth it.
Therese Dahlqvist
The author has a fantastic ability to keep me on the edge of my seat and a great ability to describe the scenery around the characters. I find the characters to be mostly well defined and consistent throughout the book. There are some typos and incorrect grammar, but not enough to disturb me complet
