A Knight's Promise

A Knight's Promise

He always smiled in the face of adversity, He could always see the brighter side of any situation and would never hesitate to help others when they are in need, even giving second chances to people who deserve none of it. Kent was seen as the people’s hero and even the most hardened gladly bowed their heads in service to him because he was the hope that the people had lost long ago. Though Chimera is seen as a hero by the people just like his brother despite this Chimera prefers to fight with a feathered pen than a sword. But make no mistake he is equally as powerful as him during the trials of strength Kent and Chimera must never clash as their power would easily destroy the Ark-planetoid.

BLOOD & JUSTICE

BLOOD & JUSTICE

She knew it too well. She meant to retreat. His voice caught her. “Can’t sleep either? Stay with me.” He hadn’t turned around. As though some internal compass had been calibrated only to her frequency. She moved to his side. The cold bit into her skin. The warmth radiating from him felt like a boundary drawn just for her. “Nightmares?” she asked. “Always,” he answered. Silence—not of distance, but of shared confession. “See that—Orion?” He pointed skyward. “Mythology says he’s a hero with a shimmering belt. But I prefer to think of him as a man who lost his pants at a cosmic party.”

THE BLOOD CURSE MARK

THE BLOOD CURSE MARK

Charlotte said. Justice scoffed looking at me, “Your human mate just doesn’t get it” he said. “Well, if that’s the case then can’t you fight on his behalf?” she asked me, and I shook my head. “Even if he could, your mate would die in a battle against the beta. I think I am the only one who can fight him, it would be a hard challenge to win but I could manage” Justice said with his head held high. “And what about Logan? Can the win and why do you think he cant win?” Charlotte asked him.

Medal in Hand: A Stand for Justice

Medal in Hand: A Stand for Justice

"I'm not here to push anyone around. I've come to seek justice for the daughter of fallen soldiers." The daughter of fallen soldiers? Justice? The crowd was stunned, unsure of what had happened. In the next instant, Isaac pulled two medals and official documents from his pocket—proof of Moses' and Clara's sacrifice. The color drained from Louis' and Harold's faces when they saw the medals. It had never crossed their minds that Giselle was the orphan of two war heroes. "My comrades gave their lives to defend this country! Yet, their only child was bullied and tormented at school!" Isaac bellowed. "Worse still, the perpetrators faced no legal consequences. Instead, they were shielded at every

Honor Bound

Honor Bound

Looks like his sacrifices will be remembered, after all, she thought. But the heroic deeds of the Hiscoun Village defenders didn't remain in that village. It spread like wildfire throughout the continent, thus reaching a few Kingdoms. It even went as far as reaching the reigning monarch of Kingdom Caelum, with the news piquing his interest as they told the tales of a certain human whose strength is on par with a fairy and what's suspected to be a dragon.

A Time for Strength

A Time for Strength

Justice roars at him and steps forward, sword first. “Don’t,” he says with a snarl. “As soon as I turned seventeen, it was all I could hear. ‘Let me out. Let me out! We need to save them!’ Incessant whining. Now I’m giving him what he wants. All of this is for Obsidian.” “You’ve twisted his words, you sick son of a bitch.” Justice loses patience and lunges at Sin. He raises his sword and blocks the offense with a grunt, pushing me back.

Nancy
I thought this was a great book. It was interesting to read the perspectives of other characters, allowing us to see what they knew and when. My only complaint is a seemingly awkward ending. Does anyone know if the author is ok?

31 Chapters 07/13/23 Yesssss Sugar Mama, you've got my attention. Love a baddie, strong female with a saucy attitude. I was so tired of these weak little damsels who need big Zaddy Alpha to save them. I was horny throughout FL scenes. Thank you for that.

The Donna's Justice

The Donna's Justice

To protect his position as the Don, I stepped up, taking on the most dangerous, most suicidal deals: the kind even his most loyal men wouldn't touch. In the first month, I cleared out a drug lord's base in Barimo's old district. I came home with a bullet still lodged in my shoulder blade, and what did I get? Lucio wrinkled his nose, looking at me like I was filth. "Smells disgusting." Camilla comforted me in private. "He's sick right now, don't take it to heart. But you're always fighting and bleeding like this. It's no wonder he," she trailed off with a sigh.

I AM NO HERO

I AM NO HERO

Nicholas said with a laugh as he finished his wine and reached for the bottle to refill his glass. "I'm a police officer, I don't hit women." Gavin defended himself. "A police officer huh?" Nicholas asked his gaze flashing over to his mom who didn't bother to meet his eyes, "You sure know how to pick em don't you mom?" Nicholas asked with a pointed look at his mom. I knew what he was talking about, Jack was a police officer too. "You know my dipshit of a father was a police officer too." "Nicholas!" Grace and I said at the same time Esmeralda said something about a swear jar.

The Real Heroine of His Proposal

The Real Heroine of His Proposal

"Charlie promised you the world. He said he’d love you, spoil you, and protect you. Now he’s bullying you with another woman? He won’t get away with this." Pain twisted in my chest. My face turned pale, but I couldn’t bring myself to say a word. I was an orphan. Charlie had been my whole world for five years. At twenty-three, I chose him. He promised we’d be together forever; only death would part us. At twenty-five, he stayed by my side for eight hours outside the operating room, waiting for me to be out of danger. At twenty-eight, he held up a diamond ring and declared publicly that I was the most important person in his life—irreplaceable.

Your Honor, I'm Back

Your Honor, I'm Back

We hung up. Maya sobbed beside me, calling them heartless. I swallowed the bitterness and held her, comforting her until she finally fell asleep. Only then did I let myself rest. In my dream, I saw the beginning. Steven and I, just starting out. I was a top lawyer. He was a quiet rookie, thoughtful and sweet. He brought me lozenges after court. Waited to drive me home. One night, I was attacked. He saved me.
