There was determination in his voice as he said it and it made me smile. "I'm glad I have my own personal hero." He shrugged. "I wouldn't call myself a hero. Not many people like me. I'd say that I'm your very own Villain." I laughed. "Right. . ." I began to walk away. "We should go home and re-strategise." I heard him fall into step behind me and I barely made it three steps when I felt a sudden zap in my core.

All I could hear in my head was the truth that came out from his mouth. "Listen up, kid," he wheezed, "you can't dodge these dark truths. Embrace them, live with 'em. Those sacrifices, all for you, Damien. Can't you see? Think your wolf's some Moon Goddess present?"

But her body was reacting the opposite, her every cell was excited at the sudden contact and could feel the goosebumps all over.
