I shrug my shoulders. We search through totes and boxes. We pull pictures off the wall and search behind them, ripping any paper covering the backs off, just in case. There are so many good books on the bookshelves. Someone here must have been an avid reader, but I can't imagine who. Perhaps it's just for show. And I had to agree, it was pretty cool. I would never have known the hidden doorway existed, even if I was looking for it.

Dominic carried the folders to the large mahogany desk in the center of the office. “While I look through this, see if you can find anything else.” Dominic instructed. “Be sure to put everything in its place so Lexus won’t figure out someone was searching for something in here.” “Alright.” I said as I went to the bookshelf to search for clues. I didn’t know what I was looking for, but I carefully went through each book, sifting through them to find anything shoved between the pages. When I was almost done looking through the books, I didn’t think I would find anything. As I pulled down the last book, I nearly dropped it, and a picture fell out.

“At the start there was this statue, and when I sat on it, it moved a bit, just enough to notice, and then there was this creature that looked hurt, so I healed it instead of attacking it.” Riley didn’t interrupt. “And then?” he prompted. “I walked past a load of weapons,” Abraham continued, “and there was this massive tree at the end, bigger than anything else around it, and it gave me four options. I didn’t really think about it, I just picked the one that looked like a flower.” Riley let out a slow breath through his nose as recognition settled. “You found a hidden path.” Abraham frowned slightly. “…did I?” “Yeah,” Riley said, more certain now. “Same thing happened to me.”
