Hidden Series Book Novels & Stories

There are a lot of rumours surrounding the secrecy of their younger years but the most agreed upon was that it was for their own safety. Our story truly begins on the sixteenth birthday of the Le Minuit twin’s birthday. The book was without a doubt the strangest thing I had ever read. The first ten chapters had been written like a textbook, detailing facts and supposition, quoting references and other supporting materials. Then at chapter 11 it started to read like a novel, a bedtime story of two girls that were forced into a position of power before they were ready, only to discover that they wielded power even they did not fully comprehend.

I was reading The Creature Within at the time and she surprised me by plopping down right next to me. “I didn’t know you were a fan of Kevin Kingsley,” she said, as if we had never even stopped being friends for a whole year. My heart leapt when I lifted my gaze from the pages to her crystal blue eyes. “I didn’t know you enjoyed reading, Tara,” I said with a smile. She shifted in the seat nervously, looking around for any prying ears, but everyone was happily talking with their own companions. She leaned in close to whisper to me.

But, nothing. I slammed the book I was currently reading shut, frustration building. The sound of the slam echoed across the walls and I was sure anyone outside here would have heard it. “Damn it, Henry,” I groaned. “Did you have to bury her like that?” If there was anything I knew about Henry, it is that he didn’t bury secrets anyhow. The encounter at the cave taught me that. When Henry wants to hide stuff, he hides it in patterns. He uses symbols layered under words. If you are able to predict the patterns and follow it, while unscrambling the symbols, you’ll find whatever he hid.

I am currently working on the Hidden Legacy Series. Book 1 has been recrafted to reflect my evolved style of writing. That has been published as a full paperback novel on A****n. I have recrafted Book 2, and it is currently being prepared for publication as a paperback novel. Book 2 has undergone some plot changes, including a title change, resulting in another shorter novel, The Moon's Exception. I am more than halfway through writing that, and it will sit between Book 2 and Book 3.

Marcus watched me as if I were a bad joke. "Putting on a show." He sneered. "You think just making a call will" His words died on his lips. Because a loud roar suddenly came from outside the window. Everyone turned their heads, looking out the floor-to-ceiling windows. In the sky, a black private helicopter was slowly descending. On the side of the fuselage, a prominent silver 'V' crest was emblazoned. That was the Vanguard family crest. The entire corridor fell into a deathly silence.

It was a secret button. I pressed it gently. With a very soft click, a hidden compartment popped open at the back of the desk. Inside the dark space sat a thick, heavy book with a dark leather cover. It was a hidden ledger. My heart began to beat faster inside my chest. I took the heavy book out of the hiding place and brought it into the pale moonlight by the window. I opened the first page, my blue doe eyes narrowing as I began to read the neat, cramped handwriting. As I turned the pages, a cold wave of shock and anger rushed through my veins.

The angle made us look far more intimate than we actually were. Another picture followed, then another. Different angles, different moments.
