Damien's body went still, his chest ceasing its labored rise and fall. On seeing this, Luna Morgana's legs froze in place, her eyes, once cold and calculating, now blazed with fury, her face contorted in a snarl of sorrow as her tears fell like acid rain. “My legacy, my darkness, extinguished!” She said as if finding it hard to believe what had happened. And instead of being worried about her dead son, she could only care about legacies and powers. “Otis!” I turned back to meet the stare of Lucius, His eyes looked at me with a sense of pride and I have never felt such a sense of satisfaction than to have somebody look at me this way, especially Roshan.

Ethan laughed very hard, before looking at him proudly while smiling “I told you I would defeat you.” Lucas looked at him for a long time, while he was hitting the training dummy, and he was lost in his memories again. flash back "I can't believe a vampire like you is so slow." Lucian said as he fought Lucas, who was trying to defeat him, but to no avail, he fell to the ground to stand again. "That's great. Well done, Lucian. You're amazing." Emilia said from the edge of the training field very happily, waving to Lucian who sent her a kiss in the air.

He paused the video and zoomed in on each of his members wrists. There lay a tattoo of a snake eating its own tail. He took the video back and zoomed it on the other group's wrist. Iris eyes widened, her expression immediately turned grim. Her mind slowly getting a hang of what was happening. "You see, Iris I didn't kill your family." He flipped the slick laptop close and tossed it on the bed. "All of them are going to pay." She gritted her teeth her eyes staring ahead of her with determination. Cassian gave out a dark bone chilling chuckle. Iris recoiled.

Dusk-Blades—weapons designed to sever the connection between a shifter and their primordial form. Valerius stepped in front of Lyra. His nine tails expanded to their full length, glowing with a violent royal amethyst light. He looked like a god of war carved from starlight. "Stay in the van, Lyra," he said softly. The clingy vulnerability from earlier was gone. This was the man who had conquered three star systems before his twentieth birthday. "Valerius, your runes—they're bleeding!” Lyra screamed. He didn't care. The violet light intensified, the floor beneath him cracked under the weight of his power. He moved.

My brows raised and the Beta cleared his throat and pulled her off my mate. “You’ve still refused to grow up, I see,” my mate said in a tone that almost sounded – fond. “Hello.” Feeling left out of this touching reunion, I offered my greetings to the woman who hadn’t even noticed my presence. “Hello?” She turned to me with a wide smile and interest sparkling in her wide blue eyes. “Dahlia, this is the Luna,” Lucian muttered and her eyes sparkled even brighter. “You’re his curse breaker!” She exclaimed and then turned back to Valens. “Congratulations, Vee! Goddess, I’m so happy for you!” She hugged him again. It was difficult to hold off a frown at that point.

Moments Later [Rina POV] The ward was purged. Well-wishers gone. Nurses gone. Silence so heavy it felt like being buried alive. Two men sat at the foot of my bed. Less like visitors. More like harbingers. Lord Dexter Valerius. High Vampire. Council of Ten. His seat cemented in centuries of bloodshed. He fussed over the temperature of my chamomile. Beside him, Morthos Gravemind. Necromancer Overseer. Fellow Council member. Spinning a soul-gem between skeletal fingers.

she wheezed, words scraping out in broken gasps, eyes bulging as her body thrashed. “You… can’t… defy… La Vergine… The Council… will… make… you… pay.” A dark, amused smile twisted Val’s lips, then he erupted into a loud, hysterical laugh that chilled the air despite the winter. “Watch me,” he snarled as his knuckles whitened and muscles coiled like cables ready to snap bone. Decimus swung a desperate kick at Val’s legs, but Dante and Rocco were on him in an instant, pinning his arms back.

Valic finally said with great restraint. “Lucious,” Colin said with a delighted look. Colin and Lucious had a sorted history. A hundred years ago Colin and Yuri had been hunting a rogue Were who began killing fledgling vampires and ran into Valic, who was hunting the same were-panther. Valic had orders to capture the man and Colin and Yuri had orders to kill it. In the end, it was Diospar, a Pixie from Cork, Ireland, who caught and killed the rogue. Neither Colin nor Valic we're happy with the pixie eating their prey.

I asked softly. Ella nodded. “Alpha Valerio sees it as imprisonment. Alpha Dax sees it as saving his brother.” And somehow both of them were probably right. Silence settled between us for a moment before I finally asked the question that had been bothering me since this conversation started. “Between Dax and Valerio…” I hesitated slightly. “Who’s actually stronger?” Ella looked genuinely uncomfortable answering that. “They’re both terrifyingly powerful,” she said carefully. “The difference is that Alpha Dax can control his Current.” Her expression darkened faintly. “Alpha Valerio can’t.”

Slowly, the man reached up, his fingertips brushing the edges of the mask and he peeled it away. Lucifer watched him intently, taking in all his features. The face underneath was nothing spectacular. Just a strong jaw and tired eyes. “Better,” Lucifer murmured. “Now I can look you in the eye when I decide if I’ll kill you.” “You’ve got fire,” he said quietly. “But I came for business. Not theatrics.” “I'm Valar, one of Don's assistants and I'm the one behind the calls and texts. Don knows nothing about it?
