Michiko's Symphony
a hoarse voice she knew all too well broke through her thoughts.
Michi turned around. Rimba stood in the doorway of the room, wearing a dark, open-collared shirt with his sleeves rolled up to the elbow, his guitar hanging casually over one shoulder. He didn't look tense in the slightest; if anything, the glint in his dark eyes carried a wild enthusiasm ready to burst at any moment.
"If my legs shake up on that stage tonight because of you, I promise I'll turn your guitar into firewood, Maestro," Michi hissed, trying her best to look threatening even though the pounding in her chest had already reached a roar and demolished the last of her remaining defenses.
