Slaughter Hill a Paranormal Romance

Slaughter Hill a Paranormal Romance

Lillie Damon stared out the window of her cabin. The lightning in the midnight sky illuminated the forest on Slaughter Hill. Wind hissed through the forests. Thunder rang with a loud explosion that echoed for miles. She was determined it was a suitable midnight to cast a spell upon her suitor Paul. She went into the shower. Lying down on the counter was a comb that Paul used to comb his hair. Lillie picked up the hair from his comb. Lillie stepped onto the back deck and cleaned the soil off the underside of his loafers. She continued into the backyard and ignited a picture of him and picked up the ashes. She was squatting on the floor with torches all around her. The gleam of the torches pro

Love and Lust (Hamartia Trilogy Book 2)

Love and Lust (Hamartia Trilogy Book 2)

"But it's better you tell her yourself than her hearing it from somebody else. Just saying." "I know." I said, sighing as I followed her out. It's been a long day. And tomorrow will be longer. ~*~ I tossed, I turned. The room would either be too cold or too hot when I removed the blankets. I couldn't fucking sleep. It was what Harriet said that made me flip into paranoia. When I contacted Theresa Wills, I never thought that she would be a problem. She wasn’t, really. But I was afraid that if she decided to press Mari’s button, she might get hurt. Physically.

My issue with sky is he’s hundreds of years old his ass should know better! He did EVERYTHING WRONG, and that mistress bit ( the hell no) is in no way comparable to her feelings for someone else! I’m only half way through it’s definitely interesting but long as hell but we’ll see, so far so good

Ashes of the Broken Moon

Ashes of the Broken Moon

Chapter Thirty-Nine: Rise of the Forsaken The old roots of Ironfang ran deep—twisting through stone and silence, deeper than most wolves ever dared to tread. Lyra followed Kira through the hidden passages beneath the capital’s underbelly, where forgotten oaths and abandoned bones whispered secrets in the dark. The tunnel opened into a vast cavern, lit only by veins of glowing fungi that clung to the walls like ancient scars. Wolves—dozens of them—lifted their heads as Lyra emerged from the shadows.

Sacrifice Of The Heart

Sacrifice Of The Heart

“He’s still alive… for now. But you’re not here for him. Not really.” Elira turned slowly, holding something out. A book. Bound in black leather and laced with living veins of gold. The Grimoire of Binding. “The truth of our bloodline is in here. What they stole from us. What you need to see before you judge me.” Elara took it, her fingers tingling the moment she touched it. Visions stabbed through her mind—flashes of queens drowned in fire, children marked by fate, a kingdom cursed by its own magic. And at the center of it all…

The Heiress's Brutal Revenge

The Heiress's Brutal Revenge

It was small, but I felt it like a shift in the wind. “What are you saying?” Calder demanded. Damien stepped forward now. “She’s saying Mira stole something from the ruins. A book. One that was never meant to be opened. She released Nytheras.” Gasps. The name wasn’t unfamiliar. Even the soldiers, hardened as they were, flinched when Damien said it. “You expect me to believe a ghost story?” Calder said, but I heard the hesitation in his voice now. Elyra spoke next. “Then what do you call the sky? What do you call the way the land cries at night? That scream—did you feel it in your bones, Alpha Voss? Because we did. It wasn’t just sound. It was a prophecy.”

The Howling Throne

They simply… vanished. “This place doesn’t want to remember us,” Myrra whispered. Ahead, Elior stopped and scanned their surroundings. The oppressive silence had settled too thickly now, making even their breaths sound distant. “We keep moving,” he said, voice low but firm. Rael adjusted his grip on the book, its ancient pages warm against his palm. The words inside had changed before, reacting to their journey. What if the Hollow Crown had already begun to see them?

fate betrayal

Chapter 61: Threads of Rebirth Aria’s POV As I carefully opened the old book I had taken from the renegade leader's hideout, the moon shone silvery over the clearing, high above the forest canopy. Under my fingers, the pages crumpled like withered leaves, their surface speckled with mysterious markings and runes. After weeks of collecting enough tidbits of knowledge to even find this book, I was finally holding it. I felt deep down that these frail pages held the answers I was looking for. Responses to the torrent of turmoil that followed me everywhere, my rebirth, and my broken connections.

Yearning for Her Return

Yearning for Her Return

"Don't worry, Ms. Johnson. If I can't get out and return to Seardale, I will take you with me on the road to the netherworld." Almost all his energy was drained upon uttering the last sentence. No one said anything after that. They continued their journey on the hill. The hill was even more difficult to trek than the one in Riverwood. It was located further south and had seen much more rainfall. It was not surprising that the trees here were taller, and the ground was wet and slippery. This made it difficult to trek. Even the person leading the way was walking very slowly and almost stumbled. What was even worse was the insects resided on the hill. As if they had absorbed the moisture of thi

I like the depth of this book, the character of the FL wherein she learns a lot in her life experiences, her moving on from the past and enjoying her life in the present. Not the typical love story wherein after all the heartaches, betrayal & rejection, still the FL gives the ML a second chance.

I stopped reading this book the moment Rebecca got married to someone else and Daniel is dying of late stage cancer, after all he suffered in the hands of his evil brother and family, I expected a happy ending for him and Rebecca but the writer chose other wise. He doesn't deserve this tragic ending
