Yearning for Her Return

Yearning for Her Return

"Don't worry, Ms. Johnson. If I can't get out and return to Seardale, I will take you with me on the road to the netherworld." Almost all his energy was drained upon uttering the last sentence. No one said anything after that. They continued their journey on the hill. The hill was even more difficult to trek than the one in Riverwood. It was located further south and had seen much more rainfall. It was not surprising that the trees here were taller, and the ground was wet and slippery. This made it difficult to trek. Even the person leading the way was walking very slowly and almost stumbled. What was even worse was the insects resided on the hill. As if they had absorbed the moisture of thi

I like the depth of this book, the character of the FL wherein she learns a lot in her life experiences, her moving on from the past and enjoying her life in the present. Not the typical love story wherein after all the heartaches, betrayal & rejection, still the FL gives the ML a second chance.

I stopped reading this book the moment Rebecca got married to someone else and Daniel is dying of late stage cancer, after all he suffered in the hands of his evil brother and family, I expected a happy ending for him and Rebecca but the writer chose other wise. He doesn't deserve this tragic ending

Blue Eyes Alpha (English)

Blue Eyes Alpha (English)

But when I was about to put the book back on the shelf, my hand gripped the book tighter. "Oh, Moon Goddess," cried Eliz, stepping back to avoid me. A blue light flashed out of the book, and suddenly the wind was fast enough to open all the sheets of the book before my eyes. I felt my iris come to light when I saw the book in my hand. There are so many whispers that I hear, and they seem to be scrambling to know me. Some of them whispered while singing familiar melodies to my ears.

Pariah

I never knew that this place existed in real life. Since I was young, I was locked up in an orphanage. And we aren't allowed to go out. I always wished that someone would adopt me. And that is my most regret in life. I thought I already saw rainbows and butterflies when Odin adopted me. But I was mistaken. The day he adopted me is the day my nightmare starts. I was just six years old back then when he brought me to The Ora. This is a secret criminal organization build-up of Hybrids and extraordinary beings with one mission: to destroy the world.

I’ve now read this book twice. It was fantastic the first time and I caught things I missed the second time. Great storyline, no rushing through the story and I felt like it ended with no loose ends. Can’t wait to read about more of the characters in the next book!

100 Nights Contract with Mr.CEO

100 Nights Contract with Mr.CEO

As if, for these five years, I have been suspended in the bittersweet realm of hiraeth. Only to find my home again. But I know things are different than what seems on the surface. Everything that I am feeling… everything that I am going through– it is not the real oasis but the mirage, which has started to blind my vision after five years of wandering. I try to pull myself away, to get out of this hug so that I can reach the panel and press the button to open the elevator, as forcefully as I can and frequently as well. But soon after, I realize that it is of no use at all, we are stuck in the elevator.

The Path of No Return

The Path of No Return

She wanted to bring me along. However, Yannis had betrayed her. He had deceived her and led her on, allowing her to believe that they were in love. Mom, in a fit of despair, sent me away and drowned herself. What I didn't understand was that Mom and Dad had always seemed happy. They looked like they loved each other. Why would Mom run away with Yannis? Dad hadn't done anything wrong. He loved Mom so much. Later, as I grew up, I read a lot of romance novels and finally understood why.

Whispers of Stardust: A Cursed Destiny

Whispers of Stardust: A Cursed Destiny

"Written by a witness who understood more than most of their contemporaries. It may provide insights about the original, uncorrupted state you're trying to restore." The book proves invaluable. Back at the cottage, we pore over its yellowed pages, discovering descriptions of the Convergence that align with what Selene told us—accounts of beneficial energy exchanges, of wisdom flowing between realms, of healing and transformation rather than darkness and fear. Most significantly, the book includes details about the physical manifestation of the uncorrupted Convergence: "Light in forms geometric and fluid, colors beyond naming, harmonies felt rather than heard." The description matches fragmen

The Black Wolf

The Black Wolf

Vireya's POV I cleaned myself as best I could. When we passed a waterfall, I asked the driver to stop. I stepped out, the cold spray hitting my skin, and I stood beneath the cascade, letting the freezing water wash away the blood, the guilt, though not nearly enough. By the time I returned to the carriage, I had changed into a fresh dress. My gaze drifted to the book again. It sat where Xareth had left it, untarnished by the magic that had turned everything else in Syrakai to stone. It was old. Older than anything I’d ever seen.

SILVER PACT

SILVER PACT

Kaima, choosing not to reseal the Verge. Ari, choosing silence in place of strategy. Jaryth, waiting beneath the sky, refusing to interfere. Even the blind boy in Tamerith, humming again beneath the rain of remembering. They were all part of it. All walking with her. Siran slowed at the edge of a new stillness. The spirals had stilled. All around her, the vastness of the bloompath folded inward like a living memory preparing to sleep. But it was not done. A final figure emerged not Elira, not Mira Hale.

Rejected By The First, Accepted By The Second

Rejected By The First, Accepted By The Second

Such was the magnitude of strength he had as an alpha of the Halo clan wolves, but I'd never thought a day would come where I would experience it first hand. “How could you, Hiraeth? How could you?!” he spat, his eyes blazing with fury. “For five years, five freaking years I tried all I could, praying and hoping for a miracle to happen, not knowing you on the other hand, was doing the exact opposite! Thwarting all my plans and prayers to the goddess!”
