Her thoughts felt tangled, pulling her in directions she did not want to follow. “You do not know what I am,” she said. “No,” he agreed. “But neither do you.” That unsettled her deeply. Elsewhere in the fortress, Alaric stood alone in his private chamber, staring out into the night. He had left Elysia’s room because remaining there had become dangerous. Not to her, but to himself. The curse lay beneath his skin as it always had, a constant presence he had learned to live with. It was absolute. It did not warn. It did not fail. It killed instantly and without exception.

he admitted. My face fell. “But you’re not cursed.” He added when he saw my expression. “How do you know?” I asked. He shrugged. “I just do. You’re different, sure. But not cursed.” He meant it. I could tell. His hand was still wrapped around mine. “Remember when you turned thirteen?” he asked suddenly, his gaze far-off. “Yes?” I replied, confused about the change in topic. Just then, a soldier stepped inside. “They’re back, sir.”

“Do not fear, Laura. All great struggle demands sacrifice.” “What sacrifice?!” I tried to ask. But Miguma launched herself into the air, kicking Melody so hard her face snapped sideways. Miguma screamed a spell that made the entire desert tremble. “ICKPE DESTRUYUM LEOTAR EUTHANASIÁ!” A curse of gods. A killing spell. Melody’s eyes widened. “No—dedi—“ Her counter spell never finished. Lightening fell like the wrath of the heavens. “KRRRZZAATTT—!!”

Despite the scary fight going on infront of me, my mind managed to be swamped with many other things, different smells began to hit my nose and the thoughts bothering me were quite unclear. He managed to throw Brenda off balance, sending her sprawling across the ground. He pounced on her, his powerful jaws snapping dangerously close to her throat. Brenda growled and twisted, she twisted free and lashed out, catching him off guard. She took advantage of the momentary lapse, darting away from him and towards the edge of the cliff. She paused, her eyes locking onto mine, filled with a mix of hatred and something else—fear, perhaps? "This isn't over," she growled, her voice rough and menacing, s

Atrocious replied, rubbing an orb on the armrest of his chair. "Reveal? What do you have to reveal?" Draco raised an eyebrow, realizing that it must be serious if Atrocious was acting this way. Atrocious was never one to think or worry so much about anything and when he does, it meant it was something to be taken very seriously. Atrocious sighed heavily, picked up the orb, and muttered a spell. The orb became surrounded by a mist of emerald color, and an obscure figure appeared within it. "It's a curse. Your brother, the Alpha King, is cursed."

A freak accident that left me completely alone in the world. But now, I couldn’t help but wonder. Were they werewolves too? Had they known this would happen to me? Alaric said the curse didn’t activate unless you killed someone. If they were werewolves, had they never triggered the curse? Or was it something else entirely? I glanced at the window, where the light of the setting sun was fading, giving way to the night. The full moon was coming. I could feel it—a strange hum at the back of my mind, growing stronger with each passing moment.

I stop abruptly and the man stops with me, his hand grabbing my arm and pulling me close. "Did not think someone like you would be this shy-" he traces my face with the back of his fingers and I slap his hand away from my face, shaking lightly. "Someone like me?!" I hiss between my teeth and it seems that my rage only fuels something within the man as he smirks at me, showing off his disgustingly yellow teeth. Up close, Father Cassimir is even more disgusting. Maybe if he took better care of himself... no! It was a matter of the heart! his heart was tainted and no amount of water and soap would wash that away!

Those years of waiting for his arrival never seem to end. It’s been five years now. The alpha is yet to be found, neither could Imogen find a way to lift the curse nor did she forget how Braylon was swallowed by a dark shadow right in front of her eyes. She is yet to discover what that shadow was. And she will stop at nothing to look for a way to lift the curse. ***

she demanded at once. “I am cursed…or I was cursed.” I said and Kylo squished my hand. “My Luna and my pack went through a big tragedy, Alpha Zenith. A half-witch cursed her to be the misery of my pack, and after our coronation, the curse started to happen. And the only way to cut the curse was her death, we asked the Hybrid Reaper’s help but he created a bond with her. I hope you can help us cut it.” She looked at me, and pity lingered in her eyes.

I got flustered and was rendered speechless when Caleb, without a word, held my face, disabling me to move. “I'm a tad curious...” He uttered in a whisper and looked into my eyes. I couldn't move and say anything while staring into his hypnotizing eyes. “Would you jump from a cliff, if I tell you so?” He asked the question like hypnosis and once again, I saw the blue specks of his eyes glow and changed into a darker shade between red and black. I shook my head to clear my vision, in case I was imagining again, and maybe I was right since his eyes were back to a normal blue again.
