In that instant, a small piece of skull slipped loose from the side of her forehead and fell. Right then, I heard the system notification: [Ding! Congratulations on successfully selecting your target: Ximena Ferguson.] [Target has gifted you a blood-red formal suit. It has been added to your inventory. When His Eyes Opened

When His Eyes Opened

Seeing his genuine interest, Shelly explained to him, "It's a type of romance novel. In this genre, the male lead is usually a CEO, while the female lead is an average person. It's so that the average woman can identify with the female lead. Who wouldn't want a handsome and wealthy man to dote on them? When I was in middle school, many girls in my class read these novels, and I started reading them too. I mainly borrowed these books from my classmates." "Instead of waiting for someone else to dote on you, it's better to improve yourself and take control of the situation," Hayden said. Amused by his serious take on the matter, Shelly could not help but chuckle. "Actually, girls read these typ

After a pause, she added, “Forget it. I shall not read books like that. Please recommend a few novels with strong female protagonists to me. She has to be dominant and doesn’t rely on men but herself to achieve success. “I don’t want novels that claim the female protagonist is strong but ends up needing the male protagonist and side characters to solve her problems.” Jasmine thought about it for a while before walking to the last bookshelf. She took a few books about historical romance and passed them to Imogen. She said, “These novels have strong male and female protagonists. “You can have a look at them. I usually read genres like family feuds and transmigration. I don’t really like storie

The Crownless Royal

The Crownless Royal

It was due to a lack of optimism in living outside of societal conventions. Hannah can’t help but be astonished by his explanations. He had certainly read the book, understanding its connotation and digging deeper into its words. Now, she can truly see a prince. A prince who wasn’t afraid of reading a feminist romance book. It's not a full romance, but still a romance. Contrary to Astrrid’s claim that Hannah hadn’t read some romance novel, she had. But books should focus on societal or political issues rather than centering on romance itself.

Fall in love inside a novel!

Fall in love inside a novel!

Elle got up from her seat and moved to the counter. “Did Arielle ever use ‘Elle’ as her pen name?” Irene asked Tasha. “She used to, way before, why?” Tasha raised her brows. “Really? Did she ever write a romance novel then?” Irene asked her picking the interest. “She’s only ever wrote ‘Mystery/thriller/horror’ that girl doesn’t know romance, she used to scare guys away with her creepy interest in horror and paranormal, In high school, the guys would run away during the courage test but she used to run around to catch the ghosts, that’s why she never got her chance on romance.” Tasha sighed, shaking her head.

Claimed By My Best Friend’s Daddy

Claimed By My Best Friend’s Daddy

“She’ll probably spend the whole holiday in here if you let her.” I walked the aisles slowly, trailing my fingers over the books. Classics. Thrillers. A whole section of contemporary romance—Mirabel’s doing, mostly. She’d started collecting them in high school, said they were “escapist but smart.” I’d never read them. Too many happy endings. Too much hope wrapped in pretty words. I pulled one down at random. Dark cover, brooding man in a suit, and title written in gold foil: Claimed by the Billionaire. I snorted softly, then slid it back.

Romance In The Hockey Pitch

Romance In The Hockey Pitch

I pulled him toward me and crashed my mouth against his. It wasn't a soft kiss. It wasn't a movie kiss. It was messy, desperate, and full of all the anger and confusion we had been carrying since the day we became roommates. It tasted like salt and heat. It felt like a fight. Jax made a low sound in his throat: half a groan, half a growl and slammed me back against the tiled wall. The cold tile hit my back, but I didn't care because his body was warm, pressing against me, pinning me there. His hands moved from my arms to my waist, gripping me so hard I knew there would be marks tomorrow.
