Novel & Cerita Historical Fantasy Books

I appreciated that more than I probably should have. The library was behind a set of heavy doors at the end of a corridor I hadn't seen before. The room was massive, with bookshelves climbing all the way to the ceiling and a fire crackling low in a stone hearth. Someone had already set up a table in the center with stacks of old texts piled high. Kaelith picked up a book with a cracked spine. "These are the forbidden ones. Histories the fae courts tried to destroy centuries ago."

The air was heavy with the scent of parchment and dust, the large shelves stretching high up to the ceilings, stacked with books too old to even remember their authors. I ran my fingers along the spines of the books, scanning the titles. Ancient Clan Wars. The First Kingdoms. Blood and Silver: The History of Alpha Dynasties. None of these were what I needed. I sighed, moving deeper into the archives. There had to be something here. I spent hours flipping through books, scanning old texts, piecing together fragments of history that barely made sense. Just when I was about to give up, my fingers brushed against a large, worn-out book hidden behind several others.

From the inscriptions on the width of some of the books, they were history books, although some were written in some other foreign language. Picking out the blue book, I discovered it was a novel, like I had thought. It was titled 'Enchanted.' "Always loved fantasy novels..." I mumbled to myself, holding the book to my chest. I noticed though that the book's cover was stark, not like the usual books I read which usually had the pictures of a man or woman as its cover. But that didn't deter me. The name was interesting. My legs led me back to the board. A mystery to solve. I thought, biting my lips. I would have to tell Jeremy first. It would be nice to have some action and adventure here.

His mouth formed an ‘O’ as he processed the information. “But it’s nothing like holding a book in your hand and getting lost in an adventure or romance novel.” I joked. “Oh, I have a few books if you want to pick some out and take them with you. For the journey.” “Really? That would be great!” I clapped my hands together in excitement about what new tales I could delve into. I ended up picking out three books. One was about a treasure hunt, the second was a collection of romance stories from around the realm based on Alpha’s finding their mates, and the third was based on historical figures and their relationships to their gods.

Rose saw her youth then in the glowing eyes, and she didn’t have the heart to tell her that they may never see that apothecary again. The courts in her opinion were mostly heretics, fake Catholics bored enough to mess with livelihoods for fun, just superstitious enough to make horrible decisions. She had seen first hand how savage courtiers can be while hiding behind her father’s coattails as a child. Rose had even witnessed the king strip a maiden and shackle her to the floor in his throne room after she tried to steal food from the palace. She was treated worse than his dogs. It was horrible to view and only strengthened her resolve on not allowing a man to ever treat her that way.

My eyes lit up and I immediately forgot about his wardrobe and went in that direction instead. Books. Several books. They were neatly arranged. The first line was filled with historical books. Mostly about our origin and conquests. The other parts were filled with sci-fi, fantasy books, comics and thrillers. I never knew Damon to be an avid reader. I guessed I judged the book by its cover. A particular book caught my eyes. It was at the end of the shelf. I knelt and pulled it out. It was heavy. I turned the book over to read the title.

This book does try to stay as truthful to the time period as possible and the legends and folk tales of the places it tackles, however, some historical anachronisms may happen, and sometimes I will favour fiction over historical accuracy. The first story is complete and ready for you to enjoy.

“Wait, don’t answer that. I don’t want to have to go through all of this when I should be trying on tuxes.” I just shake my head, laughing as I arrange the books on the shelves so we could have a better look at their titles. “Well don’t have to go through them all just today. It would be nice just to get started.” August doesn’t say anything again, but I know what his state of mind is when he starts to hum while poring through the titles. “All of these are mostly about history. I guess we’re looking for a book that would hopefully explain the Houses in Terra Lycaon?”

Silence welcomed me as I step inside the library. Only five students were sitting separately. I head into the corner, looking for some interesting story. Especially, the fantasy genre I missed reading. I passed into the history section and there's one book makes my feet step back. Traveling To The Other Dimension Why is it placed in the history section? I slowly take the book out from the shelf. I gasp as I saw the amazing book cover which seems to be interesting to read. I was about to open it when someone grabs it from my hands.
