On The Edge Of Life

On The Edge Of Life

I'm not afraid to die but I'm afraid to live with a constant fear of what will happen when I will take my last breath. +●+ Everyone is teary eyed listening to the speech of Mary's husband, Michael. He must have loved her too much to give such a heart-warming speech which made almost everyone teary. I heard from Henna that they were married for 40 years, it must be hard for the old man to lose his life partner at such an old age where death is inviting him too. Everyone is gloomy and sad, a melancholic atmosphere prevailing in the arena just like it should but I still can't feel the agony, I still can't shed a tear, I don't feel sad.

The Underworld Trials of Luna

The Underworld Trials of Luna

“What – what are you talking about!? Is that an option!?” “Oh, darling,” Life says, laughing and reaching to place a hand on his shoulder, squeezing it fondly as she shakes her head. “Don’t you see? You’re my child – it’s not that easy to kill you, sweetheart. As it stands you’re only…” she screws her mouth to the side, looking for the words to explain it. “Just barely dead. Not actually dead. Not like the rest of them.” She shrugs like it’s completely simple. But the rest of us just stare at Life in complete and utter shock because…

awesome continuity... please if you continue for the other characters, show it in the description like you did for the book 2. there's another book with the same names of Ellie and Dominic and I was confused. I really hope there's a Rafe and Mark book.

The story-line carried well throughout the entire book until the ending. The ending seemed abrupt, rushed and lacked content/drama that could have been built for additional spin offs and left too many things unaddressed.

The Surprise Of A Lifetime

The Surprise Of A Lifetime

There is a platter with candles and a small bouquet of flowers. The man I'm holding hostage in his own apartment fiddles with his phone. His eyes are red from alcohol abuse, fear and sorrow. "Call her again." I say, my voice icy cold and the man snaps his attention back to me. "Of, of course sir." He stutters and drops his phone from his shaky hands. He dials his daughter’s number. She is the only one who can safe his sorry life. His face pales even more, giving the man a grey complexion- The color of a dead man.

Pushed to the Edge of Life

Pushed to the Edge of Life

If it weren't for the title of Luna, I wouldn't even bother with them. "Once I become Luna, the first thing I'll do is get pregnant with my own child. As for Nicholas? Why would I treat a kid who would turn on his own mother well? I'll just find a chance to get rid of him. "Cordelia's probably already dead. Didn't she get poisoned because of that brat before? That day, I made sure to slash her with a silver weapon again. Without the antidote, there's no way she survived! "Yeah, Mom. It's hilarious. That brat locked his own mother in the restroom for me. I already had her body taken care of. There's no way they'll ever find it—"

A Life Left Behind

The elders exchanged uneasy glances, unsure of what to make of the scandal unfolding before them. "Who says I'm without proof?" I smirked, pulling out a digital recorder. "Here's the juicy bit of Derick and Jasmine's midnight rendezvous from last night. While they played me for a fool, the kid they thought was mine was burning up with fever all alone in his bed!"

A lifetime of love

A lifetime of love

Vina frowned confused and suddenly thought of something. “ I swear I'm gonna kill that bitch when next I see her. She must have locked us in,” Vina said angrily. “ Don't worry. I'll just call someone to come fix it,” Gerald said and went to pick his phone. He tried calling and suddenly realized that it's dead. “Oh shit! My phone is dead. Babe can I have yours?,” he asked and Sheila gave him her phone. He checked it and shouted,“ No signal. Why is there suddenly no signal!”

Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn

Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn

A small, messy, human web of connection. “THIS IS THE LIFE YOU PURCHASED WITH YOUR DEATH,” the administrator murmured. “THE ONE I HAVE BEEN HOLDING FOR YOU. ALL THIS. YOUR SECOND CHANCE.” The tug in my chest synced with the images, each beat of that other‑me’s heart tugging at this‑me like a tide. I understood, finally, what it was holding over me. Not abstract “rebirth.” Not some vague idea of “you get another shot.” *This.* Concrete.

Her Life Beyond the Walls

Her Life Beyond the Walls

"I'm going to ask her straight up if she even wants this family anymore." However, all she got was the impersonal voice of an automated message. "The number you have dialed is not in the service area." The boys could not just sit there either. They both tried the number, but it was the same dead end. Chester was the first to break the silence. "She always picks up our calls. Do you think something's gone wrong?" James froze, his hand on the doorknob as a reel of crime scenes spun through his thoughts. A wave of panic crashed over him.

Life in the Cellar

Life in the Cellar

My pinky never fully healed, but it didn't bother me anymore. I married Julian, and by our second year together, we had our daughter. I bought the old company back. After all, it was something I'd fought so hard for. That dark chapter of my life no longer had the power to hold me down anymore. Then, one day, I got a call saying Joanna had been caught. I hurried to the police station, and they showed me a video. Henry was tortured so badly that he was almost unrecognizable, but the date stamp showed it wasn't from this year.

A Wedding That's Forever on Hold

But I didn't bother to spare them a glance. Through the Ferris wheel, I took in the city I'd lived in for the past seven years. Selena scooted over to me and whispered, "Isn't the view gorgeous? I love Ferris wheels. When my dog died, I was so depressed that I wanted to take my life, so Andrew brought me here to cheer me up." I tried not to listen, look, or care. But Selena's constant jabs were needles to my heart that made it throb so hard.
