Novel & Cerita Holly Book Review

ZARA Holly is standing by the front door, talking with Brooke when we reach the hallway. Usually she is the quiet one in the room. Today that is not the case. Words are spilling out of her mouth in a fast stream, and her hands keep moving as she explains something with growing excitement. Brooke stands there listening. Or at least trying to. She nods politely every few seconds while Holly continues speaking. The pace of the conversation leaves little room for her to respond. The whole scene feels slightly overwhelming to watch.

"How I envy you." "Why?" Holly asked, noting that what she had assumed was a Bible was anything but. In fact, as she paged through it, she realised it was a handbook belonging to The Corporation. What 'The Corporation' was was a mystery to her. But even more baffling was why the book was in Latin. "You are still so young and can afford to be impulsive," Rowena replied, taking the book from her. "Impulsive?" Holly frowned, irritated at the subtle jibe.

HOLLY Holly was running late. That stupid kiss had fried her brain and taken up much more time than she'd realized. And then she'd had to collect the berries from the undergrowth in the failing light. She hadn’t found them all. She just hoped she would have enough for all four of her targets. At this rate she'd be lucky to get there in time to serve the stupid Alphas, let alone slip the berries into the wine while no one was looking. She pushed through another bramble and went ever faster. She could see the lights from the bonfires ahead.

She was here with Holly in her room all that time. And then the haunting reality dawned upon her; who is the other Olivia? She quickly opened her eyes and saw that William was now standing up, putting his coat back on. “Let’s go!” he said. Once they got to William’s room, he pulled out an iPad and started flipping through the pages of a book. “Is that your spell book?” Olivia asked with surprise. “That’s a nice change! You have upgraded. That’s so… digital,” Holly admired mockingly.

Holly snapped out of her daze, mustering a weak smile for Yoel, "I'm fine, really. Don't worry about me." Yoel sighed, "You know, it's okay to be vulnerable with me. I'm here for you." However, Holly shook her head, "No, it's not about that. I just know that if I want to stop people like Cecilia from pushing me around, I've got to be my own hero." Yoel could not help but smile. He was not mocking her. He was smiling because he knew he had found someone truly special. Yoel gently gripped Holly's hand, reassuring her with every touch.

"This could be a trap." "It could be," Holly admitted. "But it's not. Read my mind if you don't trust me, just see for yourself." I reached out with my telepathy, pushing past her surface thoughts into her memories. What I found there made my chest tight. Holly had been genuinely horrified by what happened to me. Had been disgusted by how Sally and Tommy treated me. But she'd been too scared and too selfish to do anything about it. Until now. Now she wanted redemption and wanted to prove she could be better than she'd been.

I heard Elisa's yelled so I ran into her. “I told you to make it fast and yet you took a 10 minutes just to buy a piece of ice cream?” I mentioned. She hugged me. “Lets just go, okay?” Whatever. But how about this pencil? “I'll just put it in my pocket. I might need it next time.” I whispered. And unbothered put the thing inside my pocket. _@cheedy.

Now they would exchange books as was their tradition. When Holly was a little girl, they used to do this every year. Her mother would pick out an educational book with beautiful pictures for her. One year, she got an encyclopedia of dragons. Another, it was a compendium of North American flowers. Once, she’d gotten the most amazing picture book full of deep sea fish. That was the last one her mother had given her. Mark always picked a fiction book for Holly. One year it was Lord of the Rings. The years where new GRR Martin books came out, she knew exactly what book he would give her.
