Holy Bible Reader Novels & Stories

“ A reading from a letter to the Hebrews”, the lector said as we moved to the pulpit, while I held a microphone to his mouth, absentmindedly watching him move his lips as he looked at the congregation and back to the lectionary, paying no attention to what he was saying. “ The word of the Lord”, he said in a final tone, signifying that he had finished his reading. “ Thanks be to God”, the congregation replied and my mouth was benevolent enough to also speak along with the congregation.

he says. I blink. “Read?” He nods toward the open Bible on the lectern. “Psalm 51. The Miserere. Aloud.” I hesitate only a second, then cross to the lectern. My fingers tremble as I turn the pages. The text swims for a moment before steadying. “Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love…” My voice is soft, unsteady at first. I feel him behind me—close now, just at my shoulder. Not touching, but near enough that the air between us hums.

I love you and will never hurt you. Logan becomes furious and walks downstairs to talk to Sandy. Sandy is sitting in the living room reading the Holy Bible while drinking a cup of coffee. She is reading the Bible to gain peace and comfort to help her in the time of tribulation. She seeks for God’s guidance and support. Something to help her understand why this happened to her. Something to help her stay strong in her faith.

She was desperate for help, and she silently prayed for a miracle. She felt weak. She went to the pews and sat a few rows from the front. As she did, she looked up and noticed an open Bible. It was a thick book, and the header read: The New Testament, The Book of Luke. She scanned the pages, looking for a sign, wondering if her prayer had been answered. She read: “I grant you power and authority over every demon, power and authority over every disease.” Her heart raced. Was it a message?

I replied receiving the Holy Bible from her, as her eyes kept diverting to my unshaven face. She walked away while my eyes remained on the Holy Bible she gave to me. Inside, my name was inscribed on the first page with gold print. I was still turning the pages while walking down the street, when I saw a small piece of paper in the middle of the Bible with the inscription: Please ensure this Holy Bible is given to my son, I want Jesus to help him get rid of that Ebie rubbish once and for all Immediately I read the note, I stopped at a roadside restaurant to scrutinize the entire Bible. After a few minutes, I soon discovered it was purchased in Israel, probably when the buyer went there on pil

Andrea suggests as she places her Bible on the stands and begins to read. "The Lord is my shepherd. I lack nothing, He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside still waters, He refreshes my soul, He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake." Julia shares and begins to read it with Andrea, Robert, and Alexa.

“That’s hers.” Tiningnan ko din ang librong hawak-hawak ko. Hindi ito malalamang bible sa unang tingin dahil sa sobrang dami ng mga colored papers na nakadikit sa mga gilid ng pages.

Anna called Henry into the room after her conversation with Lydia. She took out an ancient book and handed it to him. "What's this?" Henry saw three words on the cover—Holy Demon Scriptures. "This is the Holy Clan's highest practice, the Holy Demon Scriptures. I watched you fight the last time, and it seemed like you also practiced the Infernal Scripture. "The Infernal Scriptures is only a part of the Holy Demon Scriptures, and it's not as advanced and perfect as the Holy Demon Scriptures, so I retrieved this for you," Anna explained.

Gospel acclamation. Finally, Henry returned to the center of the altar to read the Gospel. "A reading from the holy Gospel according to John..." "Glory to you, O Lord." Henry read the Gospel passage...something about bread of life, about eating His flesh and drinking His blood. The irony wasn't lost on Veronica, considering what was about to happen. When the Gospel ended, Henry said: "The Gospel of the Lord." "Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ." And then: "Please be seated for the homily."
