Ecstasy

Ecstasy

The sound of my dad’s footsteps drew closer and soon, they stopped right in front of me. “Your eyes are closed, Yasmin?” I nodded silently and more tears streamed down my face. He breathed deeply; my breathing hitched. “Stretch out your hands.” “Please,” I begged, my voice barely audible, choked by unshed tears. “Stretch out your hand, Yasmin. This is for your own good. What does Hebrews twelve, verses six to eight say?” I sobbed loudly. He made me say it every time he punished me. I had spent my whole life reading the Bible but this verse… it plagued me in my dreams.

The Nun's Vow To The Devil

The Nun's Vow To The Devil

My breath caught. "I'm not asking you to volunteer," she continued smoothly. "I'm simply observing that you have a choice to make. The Bible tells us to love thy neighbor as thyself. To bear one another's burdens. Galatians 6:2—'Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.'" She opened a drawer, pulling out a leather-bound Bible. Her fingers traced the gold-edged pages.

THE MAFIA’S SAINT

THE MAFIA’S SAINT

It was my turn to tuck Anaya into her bed, so I helped her go to the bathroom. “ Hey daddy, Can you read for me the bible instead,” she requested. I looked at the children bible in her bed stand. “ Yes,” I nodded as I put her into bed and covered her, tucked the sheets into the bed. I picked up the book and read for her the story of David. “ And that is how God chose David to become king,” I read the last paragraph and looked at her, she was already dozing. I sighed loudly as I placed the bible back to her bed stand.

Though a Mirror Darkly

He typed in #253 and got the same thing. Next, he typed ‘number 253,’ which produced an interesting result third on the list: Numbers 25:3 at biblepedia.com. He clicked the link, which led to a Bible verse from Numbers—chapter twenty-five, verse 3. He cleared his throat and in a thin voice he whispered . . . “So Israel yoked themselves to Baal of Peor. And the Lord’s anger burned against them.” Baal. Hammon Bale. Baal Hammon.

Goddesses or 49 ½ shades of charcoal

Goddesses or 49 ½ shades of charcoal

Phone in and tell us if you know. ‘Here is our Baltimore bible expert, Randy Nelson. Randy, tell us what the bible quote was.’ Camera swings to Randy, who looks more like a country singer than a bible expert. ‘Well, Todd, John 7:53, verses 8 to11, refer to the passage where the Lord forgives the adulteress. The unidentified woman tells us the Lord’s message “is shit”. Seems she has issues with the Lord’s decision. Jesus said, “Let he who is without sin, throw the first stone” She sure threw the first punch.’

A Night With Stevenson

A Night With Stevenson

I will trust you and honor you And I will laugh with you and cry with you. I will love you faithfully. Through the best and the worst, Through the difficult and the easy. Whatever may come I will always be there. As I have given you my hand to hold. So I will give you my life to keep. So help me God. The fr. added and continues to say; and according to the bible verse J, ohn 4:7-12 Dear, brothers and, sisters. Let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is born of God and knows God. But anyone who does not love does not know God—for God is love.

Meant To Be HIS

Meant To Be HIS

I decided to take a seat as I read through the first topic. "Let not your heart be troubled," I read the first line aloud, it was apparently a verse from the bible. Strangely enough I felt a sense of peace and was urged to read on. I read through the page and I don't know how but I found myself weeping. I picked up my phone and downloaded the bible app. I hadn't opened this in so long, I couldn't even remember the last time I went to church, except for a wedding. Crazy huh? "Babe?" I heard Damien's voice from the bedroom and quickly wiped my eyes clean of any trace of tears.

Really good follow on from the first book and I love how you have incorporated Christ in this book & their love story. As a growing Christian this was lovely to read, it didn’t have as much steam as the first book I can understand why but definitely drama filled.

What is Living?

What is Living?

The first thing that welcome me when I woke up was his message. Chayim Neo: Good morning, hermosa. Isaiah 55:12, You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. Start your day with a smile. I shut my eyes tightly, trying to calm myself. My heart is beating so fast! It’s just a good morning message and a bible verses but I look like a fool freaking out because of it. I inhaled sharply and rush into the bathroom when I saw the time.

***THE END*** "But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death." Revelation 21:8 ---- Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your understanding. Seek his will in all you do and he will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT

Trapped: Into the Unknown

Trapped: Into the Unknown

He stopped one of the pages and started to read the chapters and the verse. “Hide me from the secret counsel of evildoers, from the tumult of those who do iniquity, who have sharpened their tongue like a sword. They aimed a bitter speech as their arrow, "To shoot from concealment at the blameless; Suddenly they shoot at him, and do not fear.” I look at Shiloh when he starts murmuring something, he is reciting the verse together with the Priest. “They hold fast to themselves an evil purpose; They talk of laying snares secretly; They say, “Who can see them?” ”,
