Played a Horror Game Like a Parenting Sim

Played a Horror Game Like a Parenting Sim

When I opened my eyes, I found myself inside a game world. The title "Family of Four" screamed wholesome parenting sim to me. I quietly looked around at the other players who had entered with me. A lot of them were terrified of this new environment, and several men were cursing loudly. Among the crowd, a veteran player named Mike Bates started explaining the situation. "This is an infinite horror game. The only way to clear it and revive is by getting an SSS rating. Otherwise, you will be killed by the boss." "How do you even get that kind of rating?" a college girl asked.

His Deplorable Mate

His Deplorable Mate

Ava's breath scampered as she helmed through the ominous landscape. As she walked, the atmosphere grew heavier, and a distant howl echoed, sending chills down her spine. Suddenly, a figure emerged from the shadows – a silhouette with piercing eyes that seemed to gleam in the dusk. It was a creature, neither fully mortal nor entirely beast, its sight sending waves of fear through Ava's very core.

I am at Chapter 37 and every page makes me read even more. I must say the story, and the way characters are placed in there, is really impressive. I might place it in my top liked off all time list. Time will tell.

What Hell May Come

What Hell May Come

“It wasn’t just the spook. Off in the woods where I went for safety there were things. Things old and awakened. Things waiting for the end of the world and becoming impatient. They got senioritis, because it’s soon to happen.” Jon remembered. He remembered the sensations of doom emanating from the cemetery visions. There was no arguing it away. “What kind of things?” he asked. “Things with ragged shapes, like half-torn shadows puffed up with poisonous gas and sickly yellow spots of light puncturing through. That’s all I could see. There was more to them, I could feel it, but my eyes couldn’t take it in.” His head shook compulsively as he spoke. As if he were fighting some primeval instinct t

Midnight Horror Show

Midnight Horror Show

“The mean fiend of the silver screen! Your old buddy Borr-hisss!” There was nervous chatter in the audience. The tension that had been building since it had climbed out of the blood was churning through the lot. It was growing. Flowing through everyone in the audience the entire time this thing had been on stage, and somehow he was feeding on it. With each shriek, each breathless gasp and nervous laugh, the shadow of this creature loomed longer. “Well,” it said, smacking its lips. “You came for a spook show, didn’t you? Came to see some horrors?”

MORTEM

MORTEM

I know I will nearly solve the case. “Ahhh!!!” I heard the father scream and lose his mind and then the wind suddenly blew hard which kills the candlelight. My room is so dark and I can still feel them watching me. They were surrounding me and it made me freeze. I can still hear them. I know I need to be strong even though my fear is already eating me. I can hear the laugh, the scream, the whisper, the weep that makes me so scared and I can’t take it anymore. That is why I grabbed the lighter beside me and I immediately lit the candle and opened my eyes and looked around. They are suddenly gone. They are not here anymore and the atmosphere of my room went normal. I wiped my sweat that contin

The Endgame Chronicles

The Endgame Chronicles(The Apocalyptic Queen Theresa)(Supreme Survivor In The Zombie Apocalypse)

The child zombie burst out from behind the hallway corner. It was unbelievably fast, running with both hands and feet, hitting the ground like an agile panther. As it lunged toward Hayley, the heavy bangs covering its forehead flew up, revealing a pair of eerie, pupil-less white eyes. That innocent childlike face, paired with the pale eye sockets and a blood-soaked mouth split almost to the back of its head, looked straight out of a horror movie. There wasn't a trace of color in its face. Its gray-white eyes locked onto Hayley, filled with nothing but manic excitement.

Enthralling. Not my usual genre but the world building was so very detailed and descriptive it became an addiction. A wonderful one. The characters are alive in my mind and will live there for a very long time. Intense action and one hella intense super strong female lead! Highly recommend!

words just can't describe how I feel about this book, after the first read, I turned right around and started reading it a second time. I'm super tempted to read it a couple more times cause I'm so invested in the characters. 100% amazing read. WOULD DEFINITELY BUY IN STORE!

Hell Hounds

Hell Hounds

If they survived to a ripe old age, they got to retire, and another family member took their place. Now within the hazy, darkened version of the physical realm. Yolanda watched the shadows for anything out of place. There wasn’t a day or night within this realm. It was always a hazy, twilight. She’d always wondered if the Dream Realm influenced the atmosphere of many black and white horror movies. With the barren trees, mists wafting about in the air without out the wind’s benefit. It was gray and dingy. No moon hung in the air here. She suspected the Fae created this place before the moon was in orbit in the physical realm. They’d made it look like the physical realm. But they didn’t quite

She chuckled. "Nice idea! We'll watch a horror movie!" I said happily as I watched her eyes widen at the suggestion. "No! I want to watch The Vow!" She pouted. "How about Insidious? Or The Exorcism of Emily Rose?" I asked, ignoring her protests and skipping to the box to search for a good horror movie. "No!" She shouted behind me. "How about Poltergeist?" "No!" "Annabelle?" "No!" "The Grudge?" "No freaking way. I don't want to wet my pants. I watched it once and damn, I was so near to pissing myself. That creature, oh my God, that thing in that movie gives me nightmares."

, I asked, noting how the place was becoming dark and the only thing I could think about was how easy it would be to kill someone here. “No, it's not. Sorry If I gave you a scare” he finally apologized, his gaze fixed on the pitch-dark path illuminated by the headlights. “Ugh, this is becoming creepy…” I groaned in my seat. “What? You're with me. What's creepy?” He asked, sparing me a glance. “This is how it is in all horror movies. He takes her to a secluded place and then kills her silently and buries her…” I was getting hyped. “Then a ritualistic dance…” My eyes widened and I looked at Luca.

Baine Family Love and War: Book 2 Finally My Own Love

Baine Family Love and War: Book 2 Finally My Own Love

The forest was wrong. It endured them. That was the first truth they understood as their boots crossed the threshold of that warped stretch of land. It wasn’t merely the absence of birdsong or the way the shadows seemed to stretch toward them like skeletal fingers; it was a fundamental, molecular wrongness. There were no screams, no fresh blood on the moss, no visible corruption twisting the ancient oaks into something grotesque. Instead, this malevolence was quieter, more intimate, and infinitely more terrifying. It crept under the skin, a cold, oily film that lodged itself in the gut a deep, instinctual warning that whispered you don’t belong here with every step they took.
