He then says something again, but it’s indecipherable. He coughs lightly and says something once more, that this time leaves us all confused, and me worried. “Deadly Secrets Of The CEO.” Jimmy’s voice comes out clear as he smiles while sleeping.

The thought finally kicked in as I spurted out, “ A place with acacia trees, smoothies and bess.” He smiled, waving off at me as he asked me to leave but as I reached the door, he muttered under his breath, “ Break up with that girl while you still can.” I bit on my lips. I moved straight to our room, pulling it open as I ran to the bed but as I lifted the covers to get in, her phone screen lit up and a message from an unknown number popped up, And it read, I know the secret, do you want to know?

Then he rose slowly, each movement unhurried, deliberate, as if every second was meant to draw her deeper into the silence he carried with him. “Maybe you don’t need it,” he said. Her pulse skipped. “Everyone has a name.” “Names are for introductions. For polite conversations. This,” he gestured faintly at the space between them, at the library that seemed to shrink around their voices, "this isn’t polite. This is just between us.” The phrase struck her harder than it should have, like a door locking behind her. Just between us. No labels, no definitions, just the kind of dangerous secrecy she’d once thought belonged only in typed confessions sent to strangers.
