The Goddess Vessel

The Goddess Vessel

A song of despair. It slithered through the network, not as an attack, but as a poison. It didn't try to break our will; it tried to infect it. In the great hall, the hopeful hymn wavered. The voices didn't stop, but they grew strained. The lyrics of endurance became harder to remember. A mother singing for her children felt a sudden, crushing wave of doubt-What future am I singing for? An elder's voice cracked on a note of grief for fallen friends.

I Hope We Never Meet Again

I Hope We Never Meet Again

"I've always envied you, Grayson. Really—since we were kids, I've envied you. You had everything—your loving family, a smart and beautiful girlfriend, a future full of promise. "At first, it was just envy. But later… it turned into jealousy. I know you were good to me. I can never repay those debts in this lifetime. But I don't regret it. Really. To steal even a little from you… "…even if it was just a tiny bit, I felt completely happy." I looked at him and suddenly felt a deep pity. Like a worm wriggling in a gutter, thinking that grabbing a speck of sunlight meant owning the entire sun.

The Billionaire Panty Ripper

The Billionaire Panty Ripper

How would I put an end to this cycle of poverty? I feel so hopeless right now and I don't see any way out of this. I've tried so hard to make things work but everything just keeps blowing up in my face. Perhaps I'm a loser, a good-for-nothing like my father says I am. I sigh and wipe away another tear, trudging up the steps to my front door and wondering what other joys await me inside. But I know only one thing is inside, waiting for me. And the stench of cigarette and alcohol lingering in the air only confirms it. He's home.

Owned By Alpha Edward

Owned By Alpha Edward

But in this forsaken place, hope seemed to wither like a fragile blossom under the weight of her despair. A myriad of emotions coursed through her veins, each one a dagger to her battered spirit. Regret for past choices mingled with an acute sense of loss, as she mourned the life she had taken for granted. The realization of her mortality pressed upon her like a vice, each passing moment a precious drop of time slipping away.

Accidental Surrogate for Alpha

Accidental Surrogate for Alpha

I shake my head forlornly, “they say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over but expecting different results. So I would be crazy to think I can keep meeting the sun each morning without inviting more heartache… wouldn’t I?” “That depends. What you call crazy, others might call hope.” The second man replies, making no move to look at or touch me. The three of us simply stare out at the frozen expanse with the same melancholy spirit, watching the river rushing below the ice so far below. “Hope is a privilege for those born in the light.” I reply, not entirely understanding where these words are coming from. “They know that the darkness is only temporary because they d

I love this book! I hate that chapters are barely two pages and at this rate I’m probably not going to see the end. For the cost at this rate I could have bought quite a number in physical form. As I have so far spent just under of $100 this is most likely my last Good Novel purchase.

The illusion of Hope

The illusion of Hope

I wanted to scream in pain but I held it in and just laid on the cold ground covered with dirt and grass, blaming my situation. "Why..is this.. happening..to me, I..*cough* *cough*, agh! I..need water..," I cried Just as I was about to give up, I was slowly starting to realize the gravity of the situation I was in. If I gave up now, I'll be as good as dead. I struck my hands on the soil and supported my body to rise from the dirt-covered ground. I can't keep laying here forever like a defeated person I reassured my uneasy self by telling this to myself

Breathe Me

Breathe Me

Now when it’s about her. Will I cut that much deeper? Will I try to cut the hope out of myself? See it running down my skin in red rivulets of disappointment and hopelessness. Hopelessness suggests despair and the cessation of effort, which leads to resignation. Resignation of my life? Will I feel that’s the end? She’s my mother. If I get that hopelessness from her, how else will I find hope? Who will pull me out?

Two Hopeless, Four Ruthless

Two Hopeless, Four Ruthless

There were two famous deadweights in Kingsgate's high society. One was me, Millie Tanner, the pampered little princess whose only talents were shopping and throwing parties. The other was my childhood friend, Iver Langford, the fragile young heir born with autism and congenital heart failure. However, my older brother was the most feared name in the underworld, and my second brother was the richest man in the country. Iver's older sister was the undefeated queen of the courtroom, and his second sister was a surgeon whose hands could bring back the dead. One day, the four of them were chatting over a game of poker. "Raising one hopeless case takes the same effort as two. Might as well pair

One Luna, Four Alphas

One Luna, Four Alphas

The emptiness within me mirrored the emptiness of the space that surrounded me, a void that seemed to stretch infinitely. Desperation seeped into my veins, like a poison slowly consuming my spirit. I was adrift in a sea of unfulfilled longing, my heart yearning for a connection that remained stubbornly out of reach. With each passing day, my hopelessness grew, entwining itself within the fabric of my being until it became an inseparable part of me.

I’m sorry. I gave up on this book. It was all over the place. Names mixed up. Events changed from what we previously read in a prior chapter. There is an entire chapter completely unrelated to anything about this book. It doesn’t flow. It doesn’t seem to go anywhere. Refund would be nice…

A Hopeless Love

A Hopeless Love

Before his death, he asked Carter to tell me, "I'm sorry, Lani. I failed to see people clearly in this life. I mistook a worthless rock for a precious stone and lost the real gem… "My life ends here. I hope I can make it up to you in the next one." After saying that, he hanged himself. Reading this felt like I was reading someone else's story. I felt nothing inside, even thinking they had wasted their lives on meaningless things. But then I realized I couldn't decide how others choose to live, so none of this concerned me anymore. After sending all this, Carter added, "If you're feeling sad, you can talk to me. I'm willing to bear your negative emotions."
