Under the blazing sun, the party walked for an entire half hour before arriving at the village square. "Is this a stone altar?" "Aren't altars par for the course when it comes to myths about the sea? Anxious anticipation mingled with dread as I approached, my curiosity warring with a growing sense of unease. With each step closer, my heart hammered in my chest, and a sense of impending horror gripped me. Inside the transparent enclosure, I saw shapes that made my stomach churn and my skin crawl. Their bodies were covered in thick, matted fur, their muscles bulging with unnatural strength. Their eyes, once filled with humanity, now glowed with an unsettling, feral light.

The powerful entity in the shadows seethed with fury. From the blood-red mist emerged terrifying figures, rushing out one after another. These things were puppets. Some were demon beasts, while others were humans. All of them shared a common feature: they were mere skeletons. These skeletons lacked any soul power, their eyes glowing with chilling killing intent. The sight was astonishing. It was hard to fathom how many innocent beings the evil spirit had slain. Even more unimaginable was the sheer number of puppets it controlled, their strength not to be underestimated.

The long-missing Night Hag had reappeared, dragging the chest with her as she crept up to the puppet. Everyone watched, breathless, as the scene unfolded. The puppet, slumped and broken, reached out with stiff, jerky motions, gently resting its hand on the chest. Then, with a soft rustle, it collapsed completely, as if its spirit had finally left its body. Its eyes slowly closed and never opened again. The Night Hag let out a haunting wail, circling the puppet like a loyal hound guarding its master. After a long silence, the terrifying creature climbed up the walls of the tomb.
