****** As they approached the stable, Penelope noticed how the horses snorted and neighed as they got close to them. She remembered that wolves had a natural affinity towards horses and wondered if any rogue pack would attack them. However, they were reassured by Rusell that they had picked the best horses that could outrun any pack. Penelope chose a chestnut horse, it had a beautiful coat and was fast. Liam, on the other hand, chose a black stallion that was majestic and strong. They were given saddles and the necessary equipment. Liam checked the saddle and tightened the girth strap before mounting the horse. Penelope followed suit, and soon they were galloping out of the Packhouse.

I tried to be calm but I couldn’t stay still and asked Zion, “Z-Zion, the number 3 will win, right?” I was so nervous, but Zion was calm while watching. “Just wait. It’s warming up.” Reminiscent of a hare, the horse number 3, with a bright red mane, galloped fiercely like a flame from halfway through the match. “Oh oh oh oh!” I gasped. As it outran three horses in an instant, I clutched my chest and screamed as if I was going out of breath, and Zion clenched his fists. ‘Will it really be first place?’

A sharp sound of hooves slamming against the ground. Everyone turned and there it was, a horse bursted into view from between the trees, its dark mane flying, eyes wide and wild. It neighed loud enough to make some of the archers pause for a second. Orion's voice rang out. “Bring it down! Kill the horse!” The archers fired quickly but the horse was fast—too fast. Every arrow missed. It swerved sharply to the side of the tree where Eirlys was and kept galloping, dust rising behind it like smoke, blocking their view.

First came out Conquer, riding a pure white horse, his shining blade victoriously twirling in the air, his soulless dark eyes scanning his surroundings, eager to take claim on every land. Second, War emerged from the pits of Eternal Fire, riding a fiery red horse, his cries of battle echoing across the seas, his blade dipping in the blood of the innocent shattered Peace. Third, Famine crawled from the very depths of Hell itself, riding a black horse, thriving from the desperate screams of those in pain, turning into useless dust all sustenance on Earth... Fourth, Death’s corpse-like pale horse descended from the thundering dark sky, trotting to his rightful owner, obediently lowering his hea

When the last one was defeated, I waited a minute to see if any more would respawn. Thinking it was now safe, I slowly approached the horse. It didn’t seem to fear me, as it lowered its head as if it were bowing. Carefully, I reached a hand out to pet it, to comfort it. There were wounds all over it and it looked as if it was sick. “I guess it wasn’t an event.” I told Luka when nothing happened after another minute.

Due to the strain, veins were bulging on his forehead. The brown horse had lost control. It ran desperately carrying Geovanni along. Chelsea was scared into a cold sweat, loudly calling out Russell's name. Russell also noticed that Geovanni's horse had lost control, and quickly chased after him with Ted. The brown horse had broken away from the track, charging recklessly across the grass, surprisingly heading straight for Chelsea. Chelsea's face changed, obviously realizing this, she turned around and ran towards the place with obstacles. But how could the speed of a human compare to that of a horse?

The horse turned and snorted in Kealy’s face the moment her hand touched its neck. “How the f**k am I supposed to work with this?” Kealy whined, copping another snotty snort in her face in reply from the horse before anyone else could reply. “I get the feeling, the horse may like not swearing,” Cassius said with a smile, “Also, by the looks of it, this may have been a warhorse, judging by the muscle set and scars. Once you earn his trust, he will be a strong mount.” “I don’t want an ex-warhorse,” she sighed, turning to Venya with a pleading look on her face.

I felt worried that something might go wrong if I even did anything extra. Not later than five minutes, Barkov arrived. Queen — my horse with skin the color of coal — slowly appeared. She was tall, but easily the fastest horse I've had the chance of riding. I bought her years ago — a black Arabian horse great at both speed and endurance. “We’ll need to move fast,” I said, placing a hand on Queen’s neck before climbing onto her back. “Where is the guy Jorah gave us?” I looked around, and my gaze finally locked on him.

15. Horse No. 15 trotted peacefully like it was taking a walk in the park. It ended up at the second to last place. That was only because horse No. 13 had hit its leg on the second last hurdle and fell. The final results were horse No. 8 in first place, horse No. 3 in second place, whereas horse No. 10 was in third place. Asher was excited. "Isn't No. 8 amazing? I told you, eight is my lucky number."

I galloped more and more till Browny—the horse, began to slow down, tired and beginning to go out of breath, I knew it was only a matter of time before the foe behind caught up with me. Then the horse neighed, not from the fatigue, something was around, something dangerous and it just didn't want to go any further, I looked behind me and I could see the men closing in, I panicked. Without thinking twice, I whipped Browny and even though she didn't want to, she kept going, but only a few seconds after, I was on the ground, the horse on the floor bleeding, its feet had been caught in a trap, a trap I recognized so well, the fall made me fuzzy and soln, I began to lose consciousness, the men be
