Undercover Princess Mia

Undercover Princess Mia

He probably heard me since he turned to my direction and came quickly riding his horse, a little faster than usual. He looked marvelous riding a horse, his sultry, dark brown hair bouncing all the way and his deep blue eyes locking into my green ones. His chest broad and his arms quite strong to lead the horse. He just lacked a cowboy hat on his head, but it didn't matter much. "Noah, what are the names of these horses?" I repeated the question once he was near to me. "The brown one is called Coco and the white one is Peggy." "Peggy is unusual, but a sweet name nevertheless."

This Ain't A Fairy Tale

This Ain't A Fairy Tale

I pause as I stretch my hand and slowly rub the horse’s nose. The horse suddenly stops and slowly went closer to me and bows his face as I rub its back. Mr. Benjamin and Mr. Denvert taught me this and it is how I made this horse relax to my presence back in Canada. I know it; this is that horse that I rode before. His brownish eyes and its tail with black on its tip are the same. “Fire and wind... Firewind will be his name. It burns like a fire so strong and with the wind, becomes stronger. One that is faithful towards his owner.” I said as everyone gasps in awe.

His Unlovable Mate

His Unlovable Mate

Marcus builds it up, making us all wait. “Pepper and Biscuit? I’ll have you know those mighty animals are named Apollo and Helios. Gods! They’re the gods of the horse world. Pepper and Biscuit? Shame on you!” I look at Ayr and see his blue eyes twinkling with amusement, a smile playing on his face. I can’t help laughing, the beer and good food kicking in. “But what if I want to borrow that nice brown horse of yours next?” “You mean Ares,” he answered haughtily. “His name is Ares because he’s a noble, epic steed. Like his rider,” pointing at himself and adding a wink for extra foolishness.

This book had me on a roller coaster of emotions! I can’t honestly say I’ve never heard a story line like this. The story captures you in the first few chapters and have you chase a high that seems to come and then leave just like that. What an amazing journey this book has taken me on. U must read.

Good writing. Excellent world building and storytelling voice. Characters are really interesting, each has their own characteristics. I’m happy this was worth the purchase. A mixture of scenery and to the point dialect. Just work on punctuation placements in areas, this will help with flow.

5 Princes and I

5 Princes and I

I gestured towards his horse. "Oh him?" Nate looked at his horse and smiled. "His name is Ryde. And if you are curious, Ace's horse is called Midnight." "I didn't ask for his horse." I mumbled and petted Ryde. He let out a snort of delight as I rubbed his neck. I was enjoying petting Ryde when a pest suddenly spoke. "Get on your horses! We are leaving!!" Ace ordered as he sat on top of his black horse, Midnight, impatiently.

The Brothers Igniting Elise

The Brothers Igniting Elise

He told me he owned the whole area, even across the street, and that there were fences just along the property line, which was nowhere close to us. Doug, the rancher, led us onto his property and past his house to a barn, where the horse noises grew louder. He brought Hunter to a big, beautiful, black horse, then I followed him over to a sweet, speckled horse. Doug put an apple in my hand and told me to feed it to her. He told me her name was Honey Lemon, and told me about how he came to pick that name. I watched as she devoured the apple and nestled her big nose into my hands. I slowly and gently rubbed her nose and along her body while Doug grabbed the saddle and it’s set up to put on Hone

The Withered Flower of Silence

The Withered Flower of Silence

“Chiara loves animals, she is a veterinarian. By the way, did she and she choose a name for the horse, Chiara?" Everyone's eyes are on me, and I feel the weight of anticipation in the air. My gaze drifts to Wolfgang for an instant. I smile when I remember the name I gave my new friend. "The horse's name is Wolf." Constanz, who was enjoying a sip of orange juice, suddenly coughs at the name of the horse and bursts out laughing. "I think the horse deserves a better name," says Constanz, looking at Wolfgang mockingly.

Sold to Love

Karina was a bit hesitant at first, but she gathered her courage and walked up to the horse. He did not show any sign of aggression at all. If anything, he was quite gentle. Karina slowly reached out her hand to touch the majestic creature and she felt a strong bond with him in an instant. A bright smile formed on Karina face. She has decided. “I’m going to keep him and I will also give him a name. This beautiful horse, I will name him Kyro. It means king. Because he is so beautiful and mighty, like a king.” At the moment, Eden was feeling slightly jealous of the horse because Karina seemed to like it so much, however, he realized it was childish and he shouldn’t be jealous of a horse.

Chosen Mate

Kavan asked, obviously confused. "His name is Elkins and not Arthur," I reminded her. "Well Elkins is just a dumb name, don't you think? The horse is vibrant and full of life, so why should you name him Elkins? I still think Arthur is way better." She stated. "Wait, hold on." Kavan stopped us from arguing before facing me. "You let her ride Elkins? As in Elkins, the horse? Elkins, your horse? Elkins, the horse that we know?" He asked wide-eyed, still not believing what he had just heard.

Vampire's Obsession

Elsa talks to the White Horse who had just come over to Elsa and neighs loudly as if she's complaining about not getting any love from Elsa. “What's your name, beauty?" Elsa kisses the white horse whose long white hair almost matches Elsa's silver hair. Because of hair, they blended. “Her name is, Martha. And this big one is Nigel,” saying this Gabriel climbed onto that black horse who just happily jumped in the air feeling Gabriel on his back. “Get on that white horse, let's see how good you are at riding.” Elsa heard Gabriel and ridicule him, please, if His Majesty thinks, she can't ride and will fall from that horse, then it is his wrong judgment.

The Journey Collection

The Journey Collection

There were women in town who'd used childbirth as a reason not to get out of bed for a month. "What's it gonna be, Randi?" My daddy jarred my thoughts. I shifted my gaze from the blond beauty before me to the warm, blue eyes above me. "Huh?" He jerked his head toward our new four-legged friend. "His name. What is it?" Daddy chuckled at the shock he clearly read in my expression. "Your horse. You name him." "Nugget." He kind of looked like a chicken nugget. His coat was a muted tan, and he was more body than anything, with legs like sticks.

Frequently Asked Questions

The nameless horse in 'A Horse with No Name' has always struck me as a brilliant artistic choice, not just a random omission. The song's surreal, almost dreamlike desert landscape feels like a metaphor for isolation or self-discovery, and the namelessness amplifies that. If the horse had a name—say, 'Spirit' or 'Shadow'—it would ground the experience in something tangible, but the absence makes it more universal. It’s not about the horse as a character; it’s about the journey, the vastness, the anonymity of the desert. The horse becomes a vessel, not a companion.

I’ve read interpretations tying it to existential themes—like how naming something claims ownership or familiarity, and the song’s narrator is deliberately unmoored. There’s also the practical side: the band America reportedly wrote it quickly, and the simplicity stuck. No name means no distractions. It’s like the desert itself: stark, untamed, indifferent. Every time I hear the song, that emptiness lingers, making the heat and the dust almost palpable.
