Out of habit, Ver was quietly looking around the hospital. I was glad to be able to see Annie once more. Leaving my friend alone in this hospital made me feel a little bad. But I still wanted to check on her. But I slowed down once we turned the corner toward the patient room. Standing near the reception desk were Harry and several of Alpha Marius's Betas. "Harry?" I called. "Why are you here?" Harry looked at me calmly. But I could see that his eyes were tense. "If this is about me leaving the house, Luna Georgina already allowed it. Ver can confirm it." I quickly said before he could speak.

“How a shameful way to die!” Sheels brought Hera to the Hospital Wing. It was an establishment quite as big as the Filling Realm and just as wide as the classroom buildings. It had about four glass windows, which had the same height as Hera. White curtains were drawn over it, though Hera could make out a silhouette of people moving on and about inside. Both of them passed through the ancient-looking double doors and were directed to a small chamber with a long counter in the corner. A nurse stood behind it, writing something on a piece of paper. She looked up when Sheels impatiently tapped the counter.

IV pole, wall mounted BP apparatus, dragger panel with oxygen and suction mechanism, and various things only found in hospital rooms and I would know since I spent most of my five years in one. When I looked to the side where there was a wide glass window uncovered, I realized I was most definitely not back home nor somewhere near Sedona based on the view since the Bell Rock formation which surrounded Sedona was no longer visible. “Where are we?” I turned to Zane who seemed to be patiently waiting for me to talk to him. “Phoenix. This is the healing wing of the Blazing Wolves.” He explained. “Phoenix?! Wh- why are we here? Wait, why are you here? Where is everyone?” I had so many questions.

He scanned the hallway in both directions, his hands pushing back the disarray of his hair, before heading towards them. “Leighton,” Connery raised both eyebrows. “Is something amiss?” “I just heard that Jules Edison was in the hospital,” Leighton told them. His shirt was folded back at the elbows, and Meguitte could see red lines of still-healing cuts along the underside of his forearm. Leighton had cut runes into his own flesh, and recently as they were still visible. The skin was rouged where he had bled but had wiped away the blood. “He was. He and Harry have left Havermouth now,” Connery was bemused by Leighton’s fluster.

Not that I let it stop me. “Well… not anymore. But I’m careful. I keep the hospital on speed dial and make sure there are various healing potions around that have been thoroughly tested.” I answer. Damn it, I sound like I’m making excuses. I sort of am, I know it isn’t safe to test potions alone. Harry walks beside me in silence for a minute before he says anything. “Well, in that case, I’m saying not anymore to YOUR not anymore. Next time you decide to do something reckless, I’ll be your back up. Okay?” He demands.

The elderly woman couldn't even leave her husband alone in such a state to look at the matter she wouldn't understand and Lilian looking at the business documents was useless as well. "Mom, calm down. You eat something first. I will talk out with Mr. Tyler." The daughter said, guiding her mother inside the hospital room. "But Lily, how? You don't know much about this sector as well." Rosie said as they entered the space where Harry was lying numb on the hospital bed with various machines attached to his weak body. ECG to urinary catheters, he was all wrapped in wires. The elderly lady looked painfully at her husband, her vision blurring again.

“The vampire blood of my line is a cure for this disease, and Harry is one of my children.” “Right,” Rohan said. “So, what’s the plan?” The arrival of the witches’ vehicles interrupted them, and Jules and Harry dismounted the Unimog in order to direct them towards the hospital. There was a beeping of phones that was greeted with excitement, everyone within visual range stopping to pull their devices from their pockets. “Everyone keeps their phones on them just in case the Secret Keeper sends a message, apparently,” Rohan said looking around, before looking at Aislen and raising his eyebrows. “I thought you were the Secret Keeper? But you’re here, so you can’t be sending the message.”

Her smile quickly faded when she saw Wesly behind me, she took a defensive position as if she was ready to fight him. "Here you are, Luna." One of the nurses says to me as she pulls a chair up to Maggie's bed. "So that you can get off your feet." Wesly doesn't seem to notice her on guard toward him, he takes the walker away and helps me sit. "Thank you, Lucy," I said to the nurse. "Yes, Maggie, it's me," I tell her, taking her hand into my own. "This is my mate, Alpha Wesly. You are in our family's pack hospital." I point toward Layla. "This is our sister-in-law, Doctor Harris. She saved us both." I say proudly.

someone shouts. I step forward then, playing my part as the concerned Luna Agatha I am supposed to be at this point. "Take him to the medical wing immediately," I order. "And make sure Alora is secured in the dungeons. I don't want her to escape again. I need to understand all this rubbish yet” I follow the guards carrying Harry to the medical room, maintaining my pretense of wifely concern. The pack doctor arrives quickly "These silver burns are severe," he says. "And his wolf... it's so weak. I don't understand. He should be healing faster than this."

My breath hitches at the slight sting, but I breathe out a sigh of relief as I watch the cut I just made heal and seal itself. At least this means that Morpheus, or the Moon Goddess, hasn’t abandoned me altogether. I just can’t work out where Morpheus has gone. I shake it off and get dressed. I then exit the room and make my way around the hospital wing. I poke my nose in most of the rooms and say hi to the occupants inside, making sure they are all well taken care of. I am not surprised when I see Delta Lucas walking toward me down the hall. He stops in front of me and bows slightly as he says,
