It was small, almost imperceptible, but it was enough.
Velora, gasping for breath, lifted her trembling hands. "He is still bound," she called out, "but we have moments before he breaks free!"
Elior moved first. He dashed forward, sword gleaming with the First King’s lingering power. Erythos turned, fury flashing in his eyes, and swung an arm that was more like a storm given shape. A shockwave rippled outward, shattering stone and sending Elior flying back. He slammed into the ground, coughing blood, but he rolled to his feet, unwilling to fall.
