The Alpha Who Saved Me
Why was I getting this worked up?
I sucked in a deep breath, held it, then exhaled slowly.
What would saying anything even accomplish?
Nothing.
So I kept walking, turning down one of the quieter hallways. I had no idea where I was going, which was another mistake.
Because standing right in front of me was the woman who had used me.
Her blue eyes widened the moment she saw me, and her steps faltered.
“You’re alive… Thank the Moon Goddess, you’re alive. I was so worried,” she said, stepping toward me and grabbing my hand, completely ignoring the way my expression darkened.
