I looked up with my eyes wide open and used my fingers to take off the green eye contact from my eyes. I searched for the little box where I keep them on the sink and arranged both of them inside it. My eyes were burning as fuck and as I looked at the mirror, knowing I couldn’t see myself except for my eyes. It was dark and extremely blurry, and the only thing I could see through the mirror were fading white eyes. Yes, my eyes were so blank. No pupil of any sort. I had eyes which were white as snow but lifeless, with strands of blue veins around them.

(Aria's POV) I drifted through waves of darkness, my consciousness ebbing and flowing like a tide. The pain had receded, replaced by a strange numbness that seemed to spread from my core to my limbs. My wolf heart was failing, each beat more labored than the last. When I finally managed to open my eyes, I saw nothing but darkness. My blindness was complete now, robbing me of even the blurry shapes I'd clung to earlier. My body felt foreign to me – swollen and heavy, refusing to obey even the simplest commands.

Kent became stiff. One small move from him, and his head flies off. Unbeknownst to her, she was once again strangling his best warrior. He crossed the distance in two strides, scooped Vivienne off the floor and into his arms. He checked her arm, his eyes full of concern. He never once looked at me. Another door and she landed on the bed. “Wait here, someone will come soon.” Steps and the sound of the door being shut. Arya moved to the edge of the bed. She was trying to loosen the blindfold and she managed by rubbing it off her face.
