Strange short stories

Strange short stories

When England said that he would steal Spanish ships, he gladly obeyed. He was given a small army of fifty men to accompany him on his journey. He envisioned a bright future and to make that future a reality he created the leather book. The first serve was in the Pacific. On a stormy day, the mast was broken by the waves, there was no hope for the ship. And then the Spanish fleet was sighted. The pirates didn't waste a second and flipped their ship to pieces. When they arrived aboard the cargo ship, victory was easy. There were only supplies and hardly any soldiers. The cargo ship was made to withstand storms, and with it Captain Red returned victoriously to the shores of England.

Never To Be Loved Again

Never To Be Loved Again

Dimitri noticed her solemn silence and made an off-handed remark. “Assist?” Dimitri questioned, his eyes wide. "Don't say anything stupid. I'll just throw myself around the ship and have an adventure." The Marquis' expression turned sour. Dimitri is spewing nonsense once more. Alicia joined him in his laughter. "You haven't given up your ambition to become a pirate?" Dimitri often declared to the world in his youth his dream of becoming a pirate and traveling the vast world. His little cousins, who had no idea about his lofty goals, encouraged him. They'd say he'd make an excellent pirate.

Lust of a Dragon

Lust of a Dragon

I dipped into my inkwell as necessary, concluding the page with details of my goals for the next day. Once I finished, I slid the journal back into my desk. Most of the crew was illiterate. Education was a commodity most in this lifestyle couldn't afford. My mother ensured I could read and write. Several languages. So when Evelyn grumbled insults in Spanish, French or Italian, I knew exactly what she was saying. It helped when conversing with other pirates in remote colonies. Most of them spoke French. Kept us from being double-crossed. I reached behind me to one of my books. One of my favorites was about a man, framed for a crime, while his friend helped himself to the man's riches, and his

I wanted it so bad. The pages started to move on their own, flipping like a breeze was blowing through. But the windows were shut tight. A cool wind picked up anyway, messing my brown hair and chilling my neck. I stepped back, my breath coming quick. From the pirate book, a swirl of gray smoke rose up, thick and salty-smelling.

I wrote confusion on her face. “Let me do my thing. I’m always been good at destroying someone’s integrity. If you know what I mean. While I do my part, observe your surroundings. Keep your stupidity to yourself,” I said before leaving her at the table. I looked at a pirate who was lying on the floor. His eyes were closed, but he was unconsciously smiling from ear to ear, revealing his decaying teeth. I grabbed the cowboy hat on his head and wore it. They already wore it out over the years of their voyage and probably battling against pirate hunters.

Alright. I have to say this. That twist got me. I thought the mirror reflection scene was just a plain old-used scenario, but I was surprised (in a good way) that Vad became a totally different person (gender). I find the POV funny. This book is well written and has an interesting opening chapter.

What should I say about this story? It's just awesome. It got a good plot and appears promising. Author has done an awesome job in depicting the emotions portrayed by the characters n fantasy world build up. I usually don't read fantasy genre, but this one caught my eyes. Kudos to the author .........

Rise of the Phoenix

Rise of the Phoenix

He had a feeling she wouldn’t have a hard time understanding, even if he told her the worst parts of his past. “Well, on two separate occasions, I was a pirate…” but he had no chance to explain because Sarah’s loud squeal interrupted him. “You were a pirate? Really? Like with a sword and a bandanna and an eye patch?” Sarah was beyond excited, and it was the last thing Luke expected.

“As much as I hate to, yes we are still going to see those wretched Petragrams, I just hope for our sakes misfortune does not befall us. “And by the way if pirates don’t steal things they don’t get any treasure or make any money. You like treasure and money don’t you?” “Tell me is this you want to teach our son, that is ok?” asked Jidana. “Well if he wants to be a pirate.” Ophilius replied. “You are unforgivable, I’m off to bed and by the way he doesn’t want to be a pirate, he wants to be a Seer like his mommy.” Said Jidana walking toward the room adjacent Kariya’s. “A Seer, Kariya when you wake up tomorrow we got to talk about you wanting to be a Seer.” Said Ophilius leaning back in the cha

Rebirth: Becoming the Mafia Princess I Never Wanted to Be

Rebirth: Becoming the Mafia Princess I Never Wanted to Be

I endured all kinds of harassment, just so I could make a few extra bucks. I turned to walk toward the building when suddenly, Regina, still in her mascot costume, blocked my path. "Livia?" When she saw the Hermès bag in my hand, a flash of jealousy crossed her eyes. "You sure seem to be living the good life. But don't forget, the mafia devours people whole. You might end up dead in the streets one day." I looked at her without responding. Unable to hold back any longer, she started bragging about her adoptive parents.

Honestly, my kid brings this home from the library at least once a month, so I know it by heart at this point. It's a really fun, simple adventure from a child's perspective. The main plot follows a boy named Jeremy Jacob who's building a sandcastle when a pirate ship sails up. The pirates, led by Captain Braid Beard, are impressed with his digging skills because they need someone to bury their treasure.

They basically recruit him for the day, and he gets a taste of the pirate life—no manners, no bedtime, all the fun stuff. But when a storm hits, Jeremy realizes there are downsides, like missing tuck-ins and the scary weather. The heart of it is him helping them bury the chest, then deciding the pirate life, while exciting, isn't for him. He goes home, but with the treasure map hidden in his backyard, which is a perfect ending for a kid's imagination.
