How Many Words In A Chapter Novels & Stories

There were three volumes and twenty-seven chapters in the complete version of the Taoist Sect Hanbloom Method totaling nearly fifty thousand words. However, what Caden had written down on the paper was only a little more than a thousand words, so it was presumably just the first chapter of the first volume.

I like making my chapters at least 3k words because I pack a lot into one chapter and I am unable to do that with a word limit of 1500-2k (to keep my chapters affordable I need to keep them between that word count). This story is dragging on because I'm trying to figure out how to keep it at a good pace while also keeping the chapters short and sweet. I'm afraid I'll either make the story too fast or as I am making it now, too slow. I am unable to find a healthy balance and this story is starting to become more of a burden than a joy like it originally is supposed to be.

My school library keeper always say that I have a special form of Curiosity. There was a day I borrowed a book, I read the whole book with fifty three chapters in less than two days. I returned the book and borrowed the book 2 for that book, just like the first book that has fifty three chapters, this second one also has the same number of chapters whereby one chapter has about two thousands plus words.
