How Many Words Per Page Novels & Stories

’ ‘I don’t know,’ I look at the clock at the lower right side of my laptop. An hour have already passed. I stretched my arms upward and widely opened my mouth to inhale deeply with tiredness. ‘Hey Irina, how many word count per article do you make?’ ‘It depends, minimum of 5,000 words.’ ‘You are kidding.’ ‘Hey Abbie, maybe we should talk later.’ I said. ‘I’ll just quickly grab some food from the fridge.’ ‘Sure, and I will run the washing machine with my laundry.’

I heard her inhale and exhale and then she calmly waved me goodbye and ended the call. Walking my peanut butter to the sitting room, I picked up my laptop and turned it on, quickly loading up my Microsoft app. My gaze dripped to the word count and I felt a split surge of surprise mixed with panic at the number of words that were staring back at me. I'd thought I'd written more than that. It took me a while to get back into my character's headspace but my fingers typed away after I had achieved that feat. I'd added more than three thousand words by the time I became a little spent. And my sandwich had remained untouched through it all.

"No, you don't understand. I need you to TYPE two thousand copies." My jaw dropped. "Each paper must be fifty page long, Times New Romans, font size 11, 12, and so on. Keep increasing the font size for each paper and use a different font for each letter. I need it delivered unfailingly to me by the end of today." What?! "B... But Mr Winston. Sir!" He was sitting back at his seat now and focusing on his computer, paying me no heed. He.. he wanted me to TYPE TWO THOUSAND copies of the SAME 50 PAGED letter?!

The people, who were ‘bewitched’ from touching the barrier, were all tested, but nothing was found wrong with them, except for the fact that they all came away with two different words. I got a pen and paper before sitting down with the words gathered. There were a total of twenty five people, including the latest guy, so that meant there were fifty words. I wrote all fifty words before going through what the government had put together from the words. Nothing made sense from them, so I ended up going my own way.
