How Many Words Per Page In A Novel Novels & Stories

Being able to explore my characters through their own points of view was an eye opening experience, and I hoped you loved tuning into Dalton, Kendra, and Jake's thoughts just as much as the lead's, Hollis and Whitney's. Despite this book taking five months to write, a month less than two of my other novels, "Not All Who Wander Are Lost" is by far my longest book, nearing 600 pages. I couldn't avoid it since there was so much I wanted to cover, and there are no regrets.

no villain this time I promise but I can't promise that one of them won't become the villain. I might end up changing the whole setting of the story but the characters will remain the same and they will do what they intentionally planned to do. I intend to make the story reach 200k words and with that, it's going to be my longest book...I can't believe I wrote so much. The word counts used to scare me too much. This was actually my second book and still, I love it the most cause it just tired out so well...and still I changed it so much. But it's just getting better as I make changes in it.

Hello guys. So I've seen some complaints about me updating only once a day and I just want to clarify something. I write very long chapters. Some of my chapters can go up to 2800 words. And while other authors would rather divide that word count into two, I chose to publish it at once because of the cost of chapters on the app nowadays.

Walking my peanut butter to the sitting room, I picked up my laptop and turned it on, quickly loading up my Microsoft app. My gaze dripped to the word count and I felt a split surge of surprise mixed with panic at the number of words that were staring back at me. I'd thought I'd written more than that. It took me a while to get back into my character's headspace but my fingers typed away after I had achieved that feat. I'd added more than three thousand words by the time I became a little spent. And my sandwich had remained untouched through it all.

My first book, Laws of the Pack, had an average of around 5000 words per chapter which lead me to have very frequent writer blocks since I had to constantly think of extra text or out of no where context to fill up the gaps. I don't even want to read novels that will hang me in the end. There are still so many pages left, I think almost half of my index finger is as thick as no written word on it. 'Gosh!' I just look at who wrote this story. But I didn't see anything and only the title of the book and its design seemed to be outdated due to obsolescence.

P.s I do not choose the amount the chapters cost, so if they are pricy I apologize for that too but I try to keep my chapters around 2k words but if I need to for my readers I can try to break them up. Rating it poorly because of what you don’t even know is cruel and malicious. I am sad and angry. I am a reader as much as I am a writer and I have read books with short chapters and understood what short chapters meant. Most times my chapter ends at 2.5k or 3k words, but because I know the coin consumption would be higher, I split the chapter into 2. I don’t like it but I have to understand and be considerate. I am taking this as an outlet to let you know sometimes we do what we do to make it easier for every reader. Getting rated poorly because of it is cruel. I barely get many reviews on the front page of the book so a review this poor would set me back so far.

This means that my chapters, about 22-27 coins, are twice as long as the average chapter of other stories. I write between 7,000-11,000 words every week for this story, so this averages out to about equal to or more than other stories. It takes me 3-5 hours to write one chapter. As I cannot add more hours to my day, I will not update more often
