“The ballroom can only house six thousand wolves,” I said, voice rough. “How many invites have we sent out?”
Lord Thanos cleared his throat. “We sent out seven thousand. Five thousand have already responded.”
I nodded once. “Inform the remaining two thousand they have until tonight to confirm or consider themselves uninvited. Next?”
“Yes, Alpha,” Kaela spoke up. I didn’t miss the way Lydia’s body went rigid beside me. Her eyes dropped to her paper, burning holes through it. She didn’t move, didn’t speak, but she was visibly agitated.
