It was enough, at least, it had to be.
I set the brush on a map I found and surrounded it with a circle of salt. I closed my eyes and steadied my breathing, my magic stirred, coiling in my chest like a living thing, ready to be unleashed. Focusing on the hairbrush, I began to weave the spell. My hand moved in deliberate, fluid gestures, the intent clear in my mind: Find Amber. The words of the spell weren’t spoken aloud, they didn’t need to be. The magic responded to my thoughts, my will shaping it into something tangible.
