I wanted to be known for something that had nothing to do with being a famous person's wife, someone’s scandal, or someone’s mistake.
I wanted to be Elizabeth Foster, author—not Kenneth Greene’s, or anyone else's, decorative housewife.
My fingers hovered over the keyboard. A sentence formed in my head. Then it disappeared again before I could type it.
