How To Cover Textbook Novels & Stories

I should start treating him like one. That’s why I don’t bother getting a cart or a basket when we enter the store. I pull out my class list and go through the rows one by one, picking up books. Some of the class materials are totally digital, but there are a couple of thick texts required by other instructors. “Here you go.” I drop what has to be at least a thousand pages into his waiting arms. There are a couple of girls at the end of the row who, of course, can’t help but stare at him. I shoot them a look, and they turn away, whispering to each other.

"Right, straight to business. I like it." Nathan didn't answer. He reached into his backpack, pulled out a thick textbook, and slammed it onto the table between us. "Open to page 142," Nathan commanded, sliding a packet of printed worksheets toward me. "We’re going over probability distributions. Since you skipped the last three lectures, we have to cover two weeks of material in thirty-eight minutes."

I did the same too. "Open your textbooks to page forty-three," the professor instructed. The room filled with the sound of pages turning. Aaron reached into his bag for his textbook. His movements were rushed. The textbook slipped from his fingers and landed on the floor with a dull thud. He sighed under his breath. "Seriously?" He bent to pick it up. Instinct made me move at the same time, but I stopped myself before my hand got anywhere near his. Earlier, something like this had happened and he had jerked his hands away as if I'd burned him.

So fucking much. I could feel her looking at me, but she was looking at the textbook every time I looked over at her. She’d already finished the assignment, so why was she looking at the textbook? Because she’s trying to pretend she wasn’t looking at me. “You know, if you want to pretend to not look at me, you should find something else to look at since you’re already done with the assignment. Total giveaway when you look at a textbook, you don’t need to.” I teased, poking her with the end of my pencil.

Please can you borrow your textbook to me, introduction to micro economics just for an hour or so I promise to return it soon" She said pouting her lips. "But the exam is tomorrow, and that's the first paper, I want to revise it this evening" I said. This was the first time she was ever talking to me and the first thing she did was to ask me to borrow her the text book I wanted to read And it was the first paper we had tomorrow. "I'm sorry but I can't give it to you" I said and her face fell. I was about to enter inside my room when I remembered something. I had jotted down almost all the scheme of work I read into another exercise book, and I would only have to revise through the note, so I

He had decided to bring it to school with him. The moment he turned it up to look at the cover, the voices immediately left him. He observed the cover again, feeling the five-pointed star with a circle circumscribed around it. He went on to open it. To his surprise, the book was sealed shut but he could feel some movement. It was like all the pages were glued together. ‘Come on, you stupid book!’ Jake grabbed at it and heaved his arms, pulling hard from either side. ‘So much for gym class!’

He said yes, and we both behaved as though thirst had settled a more complicated question. A folded sheet slipped out when he placed the books on the table. He caught it before I could read more than a column of figures, then looked irritated with himself for hiding it so quickly. I told him he didn't need to show me. He unfolded it anyway, explaining that he had used the wrong textbook as a folder. It was a comparison of possible university costs, with some amounts marked confirmed and others still awaiting replies. The largest scholarship estimate occupied the left column. The course he had been asking about occupied the right.

“I’ll pretend that’s a good exclamation.” I maneuvered myself in bed with him, staying above the covers. He wrapped his arm around me, leaning his head against my shoulder. And as I cracked open the textbook, I gave him the condensed version of chapter four. I talked him through the biggest points and told him I’d get him a copy of my notes. Then I turned to chapter five and began reading. I read for a few pages before he sat up, groaning as he moved. “Can you give me a second?”

Liam had that easy vibe that was open with no pretenses and it made talking to him feel normal and relaxing. “Hang in there, okay? And also, as your senior, I've got this ultimate hack for you. Just skip the handouts these professors dump on us. Half the time, it's just gotten straight from the textbook anyway. Focus on the textbooks instead, and you'll pass your exam easily. Trust me, it saved my ass last year.” His eyes lit up, nodding fast as he ate another fry. “I’ll definitely focus on my textbooks and lock in. You're a lifesaver.”

The object feels heavy, and the oilcloth is tied with a black ribbon string that looks so old and dusty. Carefully, I untie the string, my fingers fumbling with the knots until they are finally free. Next, the cloth falls away, revealing a book. A journal to be precise. Forcing myself not to get too excited, I decide to check the book first before drawing conclusions. The book is thick, black, and the cover is made of leather that has been treated to resist moisture and decay. Also, the leather has a glossy texture that catches the weak lights in the room.
