Ash’s POV The roar of the clubhouse hit me before I even turned off my engine. Laughter, shouts and the sound of bottles clinking rent the air and for a moment, I wonder how they could easily fall back into their normal lives less than twelve hours after an attack. It was chaos the way I remembered it, but somehow louder and more… non challant. Inside, the air was thick with smoke and sweat. A few brothers cheered when they saw me, others nodded, their eyes sharp, reading me like they weren’t sure what version of Ash had come back.

And yet instead of being comforted, coldness crept up and down her body. She shook her head and opened the paper bag. Her hand raised a black bonnet, in which she placed on her head until only a pair of cold blue eyes gleamed under the moon. She picked a lighter out from her pocket and lit the the paper bag on fire. A plastic scent filled her nose, but it was quickly replaced by the smell of smoke and the scattered ashes. She blew on the lighter, and the flame went out, then she looked back up to the sky and glared.

Emerald cried hysterically as he pushed her towards Bertha. Bertha nodded with glossy eyes, giving permission to kill her. "Do it!" Emerald hugged her mother, and Bertha was going to hug her back, but she got stabbed and her breath got stuck in her chest. Emerald dropped the knife filled with blood and dropped to her knees to the ground as her legs couldn't hold her up. She felt numb, not even a single tear came out, it was like this was the first stroke to her sanity. The first jerk to everything she was protecting.

Chapter 9 Ash's point of view. "I need blood", she whispers before she collapses in my arms. "Anna," I shout as I desperately try to wake her up. Fuck, this is not good.
