Once she’s finished, she goes to take a shower before sitting on the chair by her study table. Taking out a notebook and pencil, she began to write possible plots for her book. She leaned back against the chair thinking of how ironic it is. She was an author and now she’s living as a teenager again. ‘Rebirth. Time Travel...Magic? Maybe a little romance?’ ‘Alright. I could start on that.’ With a pen on hand, she began to create a world where magic existed. She took inspiration from her own experience and wrote how she came to be in the girl’s body and in this time.

The lady went ahead and moved to a land line where she punched the keys and connected a call. Kehlani felt so fascinated. The town seemed reversed in technology and in its own bubble. It seemed like the outside world didn't exist here. No wonder Nana had told her it was the perfect place for a writer's inspiration. Just watching the lady and her deserted pub was enough to clear her head and give her an inspiration to work on in her new fantasy novel, maybe the main character would be a pub owner in a mystic city where several creatures thrived? It sounded nice to her ears.

God knows I spend more time inside the fictional worlds I create than I do in the real one. So maybe this is just… that. This is just my brain taking something small and stretching it into something bigger, darker, more dramatic. Something that isn’t there. Writers are already labeled as dreamers, Overthinkers and delusional people. We’re seen as people who create problems just so they can solve them. And I refuse…..I refuse to let a fantasy override my common sense. It’s either that…Or I go mad. And I’m not ready to unpack that kind of madness yet.

I probably could have spent time explaining it, but there were other things I wanted to talk about. “Why don’t you know how to saddle a horse? Or fight?
