Cleared my throat, and he looked up at me, his face lit up in smiles.
“Phone. Silent,” I mouthed to him as I walked to my seat.
“What?” He looked confused and totally lost.
Texted him the moment I got to my seat. “Put your phone in silent, pretty boy.”
Watched as his face lit up again. “Why?”, he replied with the eye-rolling emoji.
“Just do it.”
“Done.” His eyes were fixed on me, his smiles sending butterflies to the pit of my stomach.
The whole class was just me sending him messages of what I would do to him ‘tonight’, and he would always check his phone every single time, even though he knew what the texts were all about, and then he wouldn’t also smile… every time.
