Jamie drags a hand down their face. “Alex, want to help with lighting? Maya will cry less if she has an assistant.”
“I can try,” I say, and before I know it, I’m standing beside Maya as she arranges two soft boxes, muttering dramatically under her breath.
“Here, hold this,” she says, tossing me a reflector. “Angle it no, tilt it. A bit more. Pretend you’re trying to insult the sun.”
