How To Plot A Novel Novels & Stories

Ashley sat close to the fire with her pen and book. She was just about to finish the last two chapters of her recent novel. Maybe I should make Avery's boyfriend break up with her? She reasoned. She opened her pen cover again and continued writing. It was her sixth novel since the beginning of the first half of the year.

There were so many books I had never read and I was always finding little gems just by going into the aisle without a plan or an idea of what I was looking for. I found a secluded corner, away from the nosy eyes of other students. I powered up my laptop and started working on the final edits of my novel. The words flowed effortlessly, the story almost writing itself. This was total only possible because of how…eventful my life had been over the semester. All sorts of dramatic ideas that I could throw my characters into popped into my mind. I was at least happy that I could use the real-life drama in my fiction. I completely lost track of time because I was so immersed in my world of romance

As Goodnovel doesn't have a notification system for comments yet, it may take some time for me to find yours as I try to comb through, page by page, once a week to interact with you all. I usually write while listening to music, sometimes one song on a loop for some scenes. If you're curious about what i was listening too while writing there is a list on Spotify, just search for the book title or GoldNPeachy and you'll find it. If you'd like to know a specific scene's song ask in the comments and I'll find it in my notes for you, I did keep track in case I need a mood refesher to rewrite any parts. if you're fine with all that, let's proceed!

As far as I remember, I don’t have enemies, but since my husband is influential, that would be the reason why I would understand. “I was just thinking something,” I replied and looked at the monitor on my laptop. It’s been almost a month that I’ve been working on this novel, but I can’t finish it since it’s too exciting, so I keep on adding subplots before I proceed to the main plot. This would help me to build the intense part of my main plot. “Scenes for your novel?” she inquired, which made me nod my head. I was just trying to make excuses since I can’t share what happened that night. She’ll freak out and assume again, just like what I’ve been doing. Although, I’m not expecting him to be

Allen attempted to snatch the notebook from me, but I slapped his hand before he could even reach my desk. “Don’t make me repeat it again, Allen. I am writing a novel, not a drawing. And if I am to draw someone, it must be another person, not Christoph.” Speaking of which, something came up in my mind. A brilliant one. Instead of drawing an image of him, which was pretty obvious, why not make a novel instead? A story of us. He and I against the world. All I have to do is change our names to make it more obscure.

For a long second—however long “second” meant here—I just floated there with the pen in my hand and the blank in front of me. Old instinct kicked in. Plot. Outline. Control. The urge to start sketching individual arcs, to decide exactly who went where and what they learned and how they cried along the way. I gripped the pen tighter until the urge passed. No. That wasn’t what this was. I wasn’t here to puppeteer every soul that would ever move through whatever came next. I wasn’t drafting a master novel where everyone hit my favorite tropes on cue.

Am I the only one that thinks reading a novel is like watching a movie but in your head? I love how writers describe things and make them so realistic. I sat on the couch with my my back resting again on the backrest of it, my knees made a right angle, feet flat on the floor, and legs uncrossed. I held the book with my right hand and the left is a black coffee I asked Margarita; the maid to make for me earlier, coffee goes with everything, books especially. The book wasn’t too close to my face neither it was too far, just leveled to avoid any headache. I always have headache when I zoom my eyes in full concentration. As I flipped to the next page, I took a sip of coffee and continued reading

“That is the one that matters.” Elliot looked at him. “Yes,” he said. “It is.” Adrian walked out. Elliot picked up his phone and sent Sera a message. Nicole wants to meet. Tuesday. I will tell you about it after. Then: How is the book. Her reply came quickly. Seventeen pages now. The introduction is the hardest part. Same as the paper. You have to say what the whole thing means before the reader has seen it and that requires a particular faith in your own argument. A pause. Then: Do you have it. The faith.

"I won't tell you writing a novel is not an easy job, It is actually easy when you know exactly what you are doing and you like what you are writing." "When you want to write a novel, make sure you do your researches and outline your plot. Plotting is very Important." I added, a little bit delighted they were paying attention "Your story has to begin with an interesting hook, make sure the prologue and first chapter creates a desire to read more, for your readers."

I also found myself so deathly afraid that I immediately closed her files as I read them because I just read some murder scenes in them. Her every word still resembles a good artist. And to be honest, the novel that she was writing right now is more powerful and engaging to the readers, it was even more realistic, except for the fact that it was filled with murky darkness. I also remembered way back that she had submitted her outline to me and asked for my approval, and I sealed it enthusiastically seeing how lovely her next novel would be. Her initial plot was a sad romance novel, but as the chapters progressed, I started seeing murderous crimes and devastating death that was already out of
