How To Use Scholars Armament Novels & Stories

"Module variant, shotgun!" The whips disappeared, and the muzzles came back. Andrew aimed at the rest of the soldiers and released a round of bullets, killing the ones that remained alive. When the fight was over, he whistled. "Release." The muzzles retreated at his command, and the energy dimmed a bit. "I need to get my hands over these kinds of armors." "Please refrain from desiring your mission objective, Agent Lirynm. It is already a stretch to let you use the armor." The voice frightened Andrew, making him lash out his whip. When he calmed himself, he pressed the button again.

The handle was cool, the weight all wrong in his civilized hand. “Show me how to hold it,” he said, his voice quiet. Sabe moved behind him again, his arms coming around to adjust Anton’s grip, his chest a solid warmth against Anton’s back. “Thumb on the spine. Grip firm but not tight. It’s a tool, not a club. The point does the work.” He guided Anton’s arm through a short, vicious thrust into the empty air. “In and out. Don’t stab. Don’t slash. Puncture. And then you are gone.”

A handgun had already been prepared on the table, while one of Aidan’s workers placed a target several meters away from where they stood. “I’m one of the sharpshooters in The Seven Wolves,” Aidan said while checking the weapon skillfully. “So I want you to know how to use a gun too.” Malikha frowned immediately. “What for?” Aidan inserted the magazine before switching off the safety. Then he grabbed a pair of earmuffs and carefully placed them over Malikha’s ears. Afterward, he guided her hands toward the gun.

"Then we work on weapons." "Weapons?" I did not know weapons were part of this. "You think everyone fights fair? Uses just fists and claws?" He walks to the wall. Opens a cabinet. Inside are knives. Guns. Things I cannot even name. "Tomorrow night there will be weapons. You need to know how to use them. How to defend against them." He pulls out two knives. Hands me one. The weight is strange in my palm. Cold. Deadly. "First rule. Never hesitate. If you pull a weapon you use it. No second guessing. No mercy." His eyes are hard. "Can you do that?"

“That move. The disarm, right before you pinned him. Where did you learn that?” “I told you already. I don’t know. I didn’t learn it anywhere at all.” “That’s what worries me.” He stepped closer, close enough that I could see the genuine concern etched into his expression, mixed with a curiosity I couldn’t quite name, or an emotion closer to fascination. “That specific disarm technique isn’t something Kendrick teaches beginners. It’s not something most warriors learn until years into their training, if they learn it at all. I’ve seen maybe three people execute it that cleanly in my entire life, and all three had decades of combat experience behind them.”

The ambient sounds of the armory, the clicking of magazines, the slide of metal on metal, registered with crystal clarity. "No laser sights," I instructed the scouts as they prepped their weapons. "Scarlett will use the smoke and the shadows to bend the light. Rely on your iron sights. If the air smells like burnt sage, close your eyes and call my name. I will break the illusion." Jax gave a firm, respectful nod. He didn't question my command. I had earned my place on the strike team. We piled into the armored transport vehicle waiting in the subterranean garage. Davis slammed the accelerator, sending the matte-black SUV roaring up the ramp and out into the sprawling city.

The courtyard is mercifully quiet at this late hour, the vanguards resting in their quarters and the tension of the impending march hanging thick in the heavy night air. I slip quietly through the heavy oak side doors, bypassing the main halls to head straight for the lower armory where the quartermaster usually stores tactical supplies and backup armaments for the vanguards, which also happens to be where Shane usually spends his leisure time. The heavy iron door of the armory stands slightly ajar, casting a thin sliver of warm, flickering lamplight across the cold flagstone corridor outside.

Explosions went off around in such huge magnitude, it terrified the girl. She breathed out slowly and said, "It's just a simulation." "Temi," Alpha called out, "you need to arm yourself with weapons. Once you do that, you must take down the enemy defenses to stop the nuclear bomb they are protecting. Fail to do so equals game over." "Okay. Got it." Temi walked over to the nearest body. She knelt down and removed the weapons on the fallen soldier. Mini-bombs, bullets, knives, a Colt 1911, and a MI Garand. She tested the weight of the MI Garand in her hand. Green arrows pointed showed instructions on how to use it.

I could feel his wolf pacing just beneath his skin, demanding blood, demanding to shift, demanding to hunt. The armory was in the basement, behind a vault door that required both his palm print and a retinal scan. The lights came on automatically as we entered, revealing rows of weapons that gleamed under the harsh fluorescents. Silver-edged blades. Custom rifles loaded with wolfsbane-tipped rounds. Body armor that looked like it could stop a charging Alpha. Communication earpieces so small they were almost invisible.
